Are there lifeguards on all of the beaches on cococay?

Out of curiosity, does that mean they close the pools on board or are there just no lifeguards (swim at your own risk as is typically of cruising anyway)?

There are Lifeguards that have contracts to work and live on Coco Cay.

Thank you for your answers. I dont swim well. I'll have a life jacket on while snorkeling and my family will be around but good to know there's lifeguards as well.

There is no swimming onboard without a lifeguard on duty, hasn’t been for a number of years

There may be, but I've seen ship lifeguards on beach duty before.

It makes sense though. Just have the ship staff supplement the island staff since the ship staff isn't likely to be as needed on board.

Do consider that if you're out snorkeling, the lifeguards will be some distance away from you.  With a life jacket, you should be fine.  

 

But, yes, we've seen lifeguards on shore at Coco Cay -- and also lifeguards circling the island on jet skis.
