Great video. Did you take daily pictures of the fun times? If yuo did can you share them.

Thank you, and I brought the stack of Fun Times home with me and will photograph them for you!   I’m going to do the “What’s Happening” sections—here is for embarkation day, Sunday:

Thank you so much. This will help me plan my dinner times for our cruise. I am shocked that there is no breakfast open until 7:30am, wow.

That’s just on the sea days; on port days, various venues were open at 6am or 6:30am.

You can also get free coffee and continental breakfast with room service (you can call and arrange the night before, even though there are no door hangers to do that anymore).  We had free coffee, juice and bagels brought on 2 port mornings.

And final sea day (Saturday).

The more squooshed ones were being carried around the ship in my bag, so apologies for that!

Thanks for doing this Live review!!

I read that you mentioned you left your camera behind and couldn't get pictures of pier runners...

I don't know if you really meant camera or your phone?

If you are using your phone for pictures, almost all newer phones have a scan setting for the camera.  By using that it squares up the pictures of things like the Fun Times and excludes the other things, such as tables or whatnots...

If you already knew that then awesome!  Maybe someone else will gain from that information.

So, I tried to scan a pic and couldn't use it in my thread.  Couldn't find a path to connect to CC. So I took a picture of it and used that instead but it's not as crisp.  Any advice appreciated!

With our visitors last week, we went to the Grand Ole Opry, and missed the tornados in the area by 1 night, or we would have been evacuated to the basement of Opry Mills when the tornado sirens went off. We are OK, we live well east of where the tornados were this weekend. We had family in the area of the tornados, but they are OK. It’s not a cruise port, but if you ever find yourself in the Nashville area, I HIGHLY recommend the Grand Ole Opry show. Its a live radio show done on stage, with a bit of this and a bit of that, full of the history of country music and some great performances:

My youngest son moved to the Nashville area over the summer.  I’ll be visiting for the first time in January or February.  Can’t wait!  Great review!  Thanks for doing it!

I have a Samsung S23+ and I scan a lot as I have to take several pictures a day of paperwork, bills of ladings, proof of deliveries, etc.

All of my scannings end up in my camera roll file or in my gallery and they post just like pictures...

I do scans as well for work but I email them to my work email.  I don't see an option to send them to my camera roll. On an Iphone13

I travel usually with phone AND camera; and had left both behind.

For my HAL trip next month, I’ll have my iPhone, the DJI mini pocket 3 AND my Nikon because, well, Antarctica so I need my telephoto!

Sorry, I only speak Android.  But I'm sure someone else is fluent in Apple and can share info.  I'm reasonably sure that Iphones would work similarly.

  • 3 weeks later...

I had a jam-packed December, so it took me awhile but here, finally, is my video specifically about the Ultra casino aspects of this cruise!  Gives all the details (games, gifts, events), tells you if I’d do it again, and also has a crazy story near the end about how I started gambling on Carnival (way back when the Carnival Splendor was doing the Mexican Riviera itinerarty!):
