Pinballs83 Posted December 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2023 Currently on Regal Princess. They took out half of club 6 and they are currently setting up more slot machines. One table and maybe 25 slots. Only a couple are operational now and casino staff are working on getting the games running. The digital hold em poker table is gone and is replaced by a bank of six aristocrat curved screen slots that are not turned on yet.
gvre Posted December 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2023 Was on the Discovery last month out of Los Angeles. They could have taken half of deck 6 and turned it into a casino and still would have been packed.
RNRcruisers Posted December 11, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2023 So is there still Club 6 but smaller? We enjoyed it for late night dancing last time we were on Regal.

Open, closed, what are they go to do with it? TIA
emmak8 Posted December 11, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2023 I was on the Emerald November 4 NY to FLL. It seemed everyone I met was on a casino offer. I guess Princess wants to fill up the ship with gamblers?
Pinballs83 Posted December 11, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) I'm on a casino offer myself. For not being a big gambler they gave me nice offer. Here is some pics. They do still have the digital hold em table, but it's now in the casino expansion into Club 6. Club 6 still has the dance floor and bar, but smaller than the last time I was on the ship. I haven't noticed Churchill? Was it by club 6, cigar lounge? If so it might have been merged with the extra casino space. The entrance to the casino expansion plate still says Club 6. Here are a few pictures. Edited December 11, 2023 by Pinballs83

Go out the doors by the dance floor/DJ booth and take an immediate left - it's right there.. Unbelievable that they're filling the club with machines and removing all that seating. There's nowhere else to dance or late night on Regal, except the atrium, which is dead by midnight.
snoozecrooze Posted December 11, 2023 #8 Share Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) If it's going to be anything like Royal, half of Club 6 is just going to become the new non-smoking casino annex, while the other half becomes the sports-oriented "Double Down Bar" with TVs on all corners. The nightclub on Club 6 was always abysmally attended, in my experience, and they never tried to foster an atmosphere on a consistent basis out of that venue. Ideally, they should put the nightclub in Vista Lounge because it's so underused on Royal and Regal, but I know how it being on deck 7 instead of 6 is the main problem here (since deck 8 has cabins). Alas. Edited December 11, 2023 by snoozecrooze
BabsinTX Posted December 11, 2023 #9 Share Posted December 11, 2023 Will there be a door between Club 6 and the new casino section? I can't tell from the photos. I'm a Skywalkers fan myself.
Pinballs83 Posted December 11, 2023 Author #10 Share Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) Club 6 on the phone app is now called "Double Down Bar". Which looks like a sports bar type atmosphere. The map says Churchill's is an arcade and has a picture of kiddie casino on the phone app. So I don't think they are smoking in there. I will go check it out later today. Pinballs83 will be happy if I find a Pinball machine in there. 😃 there is very few kids on this trip out of Galveston. 16 minutes ago, BabsinTX said: Will there be a door between Club 6 and the new casino section? I can't tell from the photos. I'm a Skywalkers fan myself. There is kind of a door/hallway with opened doors. Go left for the club 6 casino expansion, go right for the main casino. There is still a main entrance to the casino on 6 atrium area. It looks like they can setup of a divider wall between the casino expansion and club 6. It is currently open, but they might have closed it off for the football game? Skywalkers was a cool place. I haven't been on a ship that has one in a long time. They used to let people smoke up there is why I didnt go often. Edited December 11, 2023 by Pinballs83
