Chef's Table on Discovery (standardized menu yet?)

Has anyone sailed on her over the last month and attended the Chef's Table supper? If so, was the new standardized menu of veal or salmon offered or was the chef still allowed to be creative? I'm hopping on her in a few days and will only book the experience if the standardized menu isn't yet in place. Thank you in advance for help with this!

We did the Chef's Table this summer on Royal and it was horrible! Couldn't believe it was so bad nearly inedible and this was perhaps our 7th or 8th CT. It was veal or salmon for the main,  Both covered in caviar! Veal, caviar, really?

Think the cost was about $110 each with wine a real bust.

Is that the standardized menu?

What's the point?  I thought this was supposed to be a meal curated by the specific chef, not the same cookie-cutter menu rolled out on every ship at an exorbitant cost.

I TOTALLY agree!!! It needs to be chef's preferences and creative! It sounds like we will not be participating again. We have enjoyed two memorable Chef's Tables.

It's the new standardized menu and the reason I just took a pass on the Chef's Table while on the Discovery over NYE and after attending over half a dozen CT's on previous Princess sailings. It's such a bummer because it's something I always looked forward to doing. Boo, Princess!

From the Princess website description of the "Chef's Table":

"The menu is specially created by the Executive Chef and is not offered anywhere else on the ship. The fare might include anything from a focus on regional cuisine and ingredients to a display of the Chef’s favorite show stopping recipes perfected over the years. Each course is accompanied by a detailed explanation of the dish, preparation methods, and tasting suggestions. Curated wine pairings also complement the meal, enhancing the ingredients and flavor profiles. During the dessert course, the Executive Chef rejoins the group at their private table to participate in a discussion about the evening’s meal, answer questions, and share culinary secrets gathered during many years of restaurant experience at sea and on land."

Information that, by multiple accounts, is now wrong.

We should consider it a happy accident if more than half of any description on the Princess website is factually accurate at any time.
