Crystal Dilemma

We thought we would throw this out there to you more well-seasoned Crystal folks.

A reliable source at Crystal tells me that Serenity will be back in Alaska in the summer of 2006.

Here are the two options we have come up with for an Alaska cruise.

1. Stay in a standard room with veranda and do a Back 2 Back for 14 days.

2. Upgrade to an Aquamarine Suite for the 7 nights and not do the Back 2 Back.

We would love to get your feedback on this.

In my opinion, the marginal utility of upgrading from a standard room with veranda to an aquamarine suite is minimal compared to the ability to double the number of days you get to spend on the ship.

I don't like to use the term "no-brainer," but it's the best description for this choice.

Enjoy Alaska!

Right now they are offering suite upgrades. Contact your TA. You might be able to get Aquamarine for  price of smaller cabin.
If that doesn’t  work out get smaller and stay longer. Try for one closest to midship elevators.

That current suite upgrade offer is only on 2024 cruises - the OP is looking at 2026

Another vote for 14 days. A no-brainer for me.

Now the real challenge is going to be securing a stateroom on a 2006 voyage!

You know Beav, I read over that original post 3 times before I posted it and didn’t catch that mistake!
