NCL Breakaway March 3-10 from New Orleans semi-live

Staked out a spot mostly alone at the back of the ship on the Waterfront for sail away coming any minute now? Watched the Glory make its u-turn and start heading down the Mississippi about an hour ago. 

Supposed to set sail at 5(1 minute from now) and the lines are still in place. I think we’re going to be late.

Very cool! Happy cruising! What time would you say sailaway actually happened, and when about was it not as interesting to be above decks?

We are traveling with a group and have a group dinner reservation that I'm concerned will interfere with sailaway.

Maybe 5:20 to 5:30. We just prefer watching from the lower decks because it’s less crowded, you’re closer to the water and it’s easy to go from the back to either side of the ship to watch.

Oh that's a good idea. Maybe we'll try that. I'm pro things that are less crowded. I just wish our group didn't want to eat so early!

I will be following along with this cruise report. Im loving it so far. Im booked on Breakaway out of New York September 1 and am looking forward to reading your posts and seeing your pictures of this ship. I am also an introvert and love to find quieter places with no crowds to sit and read or just watch the water. 

 Quick question about muster:on Norwegian do you have to get together and assemble with everyone assigned to your muster station,or do you just go on your own and do the procedure and be done with it  like we do on the cruiseline I normally sail on?

Anyone who thought Starlink would be a major improvement for at sea internet I’m not seeing it yet, at least here in the bowels of the ship. Struggling to get pictures posted right now.

@boffoboffo Great start to the " live ". Here is a picture from our sail away last January 23, the sun was to the far left, I like yours better.

Went to Moderno last night. Not many people there, so it was nice. 

Meat menu. I took meat pictures, but one piece of meat on the plate at a time just doesn’t look impressive. 

A proper trip to the salad bar at a Brazilian steakhouse. 

Tres Leches cake for desert and the chocolate ice cream our waiter offered to go downstairs and get special for my wife. A cruise hero already. 

Stopped to get our gold pin. Since we got bonus points on two of our previous cruises were already gold after only three.

Yup.  We're on the 3/10 sailing.  Where are y'all coming in from?  From where I am, in Charlotte, we're getting tons of rain, hopefully our flight can make it out.  Our back plan is to just hop in a car if the flight is canceled.
