Metropolitan Marunouchi near Tokyo Station or the Park Hyatt known from the movie "Lost in translation".

We like to stay at the Gracery in Shinjuku.

We stayed at the Imperial Hotel in late March; it was wonderful. However, the tower building will be closed and there is construction next to the main building. See the link above.

Stayed at Tokyo Station  Hotel for 3 nights in early April - absolute luxury -but at a price. Book through hotel web site. Marvelous experience; terrific location for access to Imperial grounds, Ginza, and JR Maranote trains that circle Tokyo. Quiet; heard NO noise despite adjoining station handling hundreds of trains per day.

Intercontinental Strings. Just back. Fabulous hotel wonderful views and right by Shinagawa station making getting around so easy including coming in and out to airports. As we’d luggage the hotel arranged us a beautiful car through Royal Limousines for hardly any more cost than an ordinary taxi.
