Fewer overnight options for Ocean Cay makes me sad

When I started cruising MSC after the restart in 2021 almost every four day cruise out of Port Canaveral was an overnight stay at Ocean Cay and a day in Nassau. Now it seems a majority of the four day offerings only stop at OC for the day and then insert a sea day.

In case anyone from MSC happens to be reading this, let it be known that I do not approve. Overnight at OC was the highlight of the short cruises. Please schedule more.

Well with more ships sailing this will just be logistically impossible.  You can only have one ship in port, unlike Cozumel, for example.  Everyone wants a day there so the overnights are likely a thing of the past.

We have an upcoming overnight on the Seashore in June.

As a matter of fact, every 4 day cruise on the Seashore has an overnight on Ocean Cay.  So probably not yet a thing of the past.

I quite agree with your take on the issue, Morgsmom.

Unfortunately, the loss of those overnights will be one more example of discontinued things that allowed MSC to stand out from other lines.

Actually Exploras has no overnights planned at Ocean Cay.  Just 6 times upcoming in 2025 and 2026 will she be at Ocean Cay.

Seashore has quite a few overnights starting in June at Ocean Cay.  So to the OP, I'd look at the 4 day sailings if that is what you want.

I Thought they were expanding the pier, maybe room for two ships?  Anyone know?  I agree with the overnights here, very enjoyable.

Preparing for the larger World group of ships, I think. It would be nutty to have two ships call on the same day.

Imagine 11k passengers swarming Ocean Cay from two full ships. 🤯

According to the senior officers on the Seashore there will not be two ships at Ocean Cay at one time. They are increasing the size of the dock to accommodate the World.
