Edge Calls Retreat Access?

Recommended Posts

We are booked in a Sky Suite on the Beyond.  Upon boarding the ship will be have access to the Suite Lounge immediately or do we have to wait until the staterooms open and get our stateroom keys?

Thanks in advance, Steve and Karen

Good question---

Your stateroom key will be outside your door.

You can leave your carry-ons in the room and lock valuables in the safe.

To save time--- Check the location of the Suite Lounge before boarding the vessel.

Now, " Away We Go "----to the Suite Lounge.

Access to the Suite Lounge would depend on what time you board , whether the Suite Lounge is fully stocked, and whether there is Staff on duty in the Suite Lounge at that time.

The Retreat Lounge is open and welcoming passengers as soon as the ship starts boarding.  If you arrive early before boarding begins there is a Suite Lounge in terminal 25 in Port Everglades where you will be checked in and can wait for boarding.

There will be staff there continuously because there will be back to back passengers who will precede you into the retreat. The staff of the retreat lists of all of their eligible passengers so  they don’t need to see your card.   They also have your photograph in their file.

Easiest course of action is to go straight to your stateroom, grab your Seapass card off the door, drop off your carry-on, lock anything you won't need in the safe (passport...), and then head for the Retreat Lounge. If you're boarding first, the elevators will still be free. If you head for the lounge, you'll be tempted to head for Luminae, and you'll be dragging your bags and suddenly everyone will be on the elevators.

The lounge will definitely be open, but you'll probably be happy that you (or one of you) made the trip to the cabin first.

This is exactly what I would do…except I would skip TRL and hit the pool deck bar area.

The door to the Retreat Lounge ( and Sun Deck)  require you to tap you Sea Pass card to open.  Now if someone is passing by the door or exiting as you arrive you may be able to enter without you card.

Are they starting to charge for elevators now? Is that another cash grab?
