Gold is easier to sell

but has potential tax implications to import in many countries which is why they don’t focus on gold items onboard

When we have massive amounts of non-refundable OBC, it becomes play money. It's use it or lose it, and I see no reason to leave money on the table.

My Maui Jim sunglasses (which I wear almost every day) were much more expensive than the pair they replaced. They were a lovely indulgence with happy memories attached.

I'm right there with you!! I would not pay that much of my "own" money for Maui Jim's but with the "use it or lose it money" I'm all in!! 🙂

Didn't Celebrity used to sell "gold" by the inch in their store? 😁  Or maybe they still do.

Thanks for all of the great ideas!  We do plan on using a good portion of it on excursions.  The rest will be fun to figure out how to indulge ourselves!  What a fun problem to have!!

Do not forget the limited edition pyjamas, 50 dollars for 1 pair, 80 dollars for 2.

You may be lucky and they will be available on your cruise!
