Did they just remove the online gift card payment option?

I checked a few of my booked cruises, and can still see the gift card option under payment.

I just used it yesterday to pay for a portion of an upcoming cruise, so it was still there as of 5/23.

Are you, by chance, booked with a TA or CVP?  You have to call them to use GC’s.

 

If you booked directly with PCL, you should be able to use GC online or make the dreaded phone call to them. 🥴

I have found I can use gift cards to pay the cruise fare but anything else I add on only gives me the credit card or paypal options. But I can use the gift card if I call.  It is kind of a pain but at least there is a work around.

I book with a CVP and have 3 options. PayPal has a surcharge. Theres even an option to use reward points (select gift card option)

That’s awesome!  I just call the CVP with my GC numbers.

 

When you enter the GC numbers, any problems with how many GC’s you enter?

OMG YES!! I have to enter each one individually.  It's a pain in the ass so if I have a bunch I have her do it. What I didn't realize (hence edit) is that reward points could also be applied

I just cut copied and pasted the numbers from the emails with the gift card purchase confirmations.  Then just type in the 4 digit pin. 

 

Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V is your friend!  😀
