Live from the Dawn

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone LIVE from the Beautiful Dawn:

We are currently docked in King's Wharf in Bermuda - Sunny and 75 degrees. Beautiful day in Bermuda.

Saturday - Embarkation Day;

It was a breeze - This is our third time on the Dawn

We live 10 minutes from the pier so we were there by 11:30 a.m. and in our cabin by 12:30 - Balcony cabin on deck 10

We went to Cagney's Saturday night and as always it was EXCELLENT. They actually remember us from last year which made us feel special as they even made sure we were taken care of and

actually spent time talking to us and catching up.

Tried the CASINO and was mean to both us.

Went back to our cabin and had a bottle of wine on the balcony -

HEAVEN HEAVEN HEAVEN

Sunday:

Seas were a little rough but we like a little rocky makes you feel like you are at sea more. Overcast and 66 degrees but people are out and about. We hung out by the indoor pool which we love - We are sun worshippers but are waiting for the HOT weather.

Went to windows for dinner and had a great dinner - We were at a table for 10 and had the best company. Lots of laughs and conversation. Went to the show and it was OK.

Went to the club and danced and PARTIED until 2:30 a.m.

Monday:

Bermuda is beautiful today - Got off early - Did some shopping and went back to the ship - We've been to Bermuda 20 times so we wanted to enjoy the empty ship - Everyone seems to have gotten off as I think for must Bermuda is the highlight of this 1st cruise to Bermuda. I am not a big fan of King's Wharf but we are easy to please.

Tonight we are going to the Bistro with two (2) couples we meet on board. We talk to everyone (haha).

Tomorrow is a sea day and we are looking forward to getting up early and getting some lounge chairs and staying in the sun all day.

We checked and was told the weather should be sunny and 82.

Will keep you posted as I always enjoyed everyone else's live posts and thought you guys would like the same.

We were on the Spirit in January for 11 days and I will say though we

love the Spirit more. i don't know if it was the 11 days and ports

but we can't wait to go back on her on November 30 for 10 nights.

We love the night club on the Spirit with the beds.

Hope all is well with you all.

Hi again everyone live from the Dawn:

We just had breakfast in Raffles this morning - A little cloudy this morning but the captain tells us the sun is coming out soon and should be a high of 84 degrees. We plan on working out now and then hopefully the sun will be out for us to lay out and swim.

Last night was a EXCELLENT DINNER" at the Bistro - I had the firestarter as I always order when I'm on the dawn - had the seafood mix - It was great - And that FONDUE OH MY GOD! The best! Again the staff remember us from the last time and hung out with us and talked with us alot. Really great time and enjoyed having dinner with our new friends - they are so much fun.

Last night we sailed out of Bermuda and it was great -

The weather in Bermuda could not have been better - they have said the last few weeks were not that great so I guess we started the Bermuda season off. Unfortunately leaving from King's Wharf the sailing isn't as great as leaving from Hamilton - You just pull out and you are gone no scenery.... :)

After dinner we went bar hopping (haven't done that in years) HAHA

and had a BALL. I got to tell you we are loving this cruise.

Very mixed crowd on board - of all ages. Not a lot of children.

Again we stayed up late until 3:00 a.m. - Keep in mind we are both professionals and work long hours for WALL STREET and usually are in bed by 10:00 p.m. - so you know we are having fun.

I really like the 1 day in Bermuda - Usually everytime we come to Bermuda we are docked for 4 days and I don't feel like I'm on a cruise but a docked hotel - I love sailing every night. One day in Bermuda is perfect.

Oh yeah we went to the Blue Lagoon last night around 2:00 a.m. to get a late night snack. We are definitely eatting to much.

Cabin is great and we are using the balcony ALOT. We have always gone with a balcony and there is nothing like sleeping with the door open and listening to the ocean - HEAVEN.

Okay guys off to the gym and then it's time to layout and enjoy the warm sunny weather (Hopefully) - No rain at all so far.

We plan on NO DRINKING TODAY!

Hope all is well.

Lucky you! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!! You're not missing anything except lots of rain back here. ;) We love the Dawn. Try to grab a Pastrami sandwich on the long French bread at the NY Deli for lunch one day. They were really good.

I'm so excited about your reports! We will be in a standard balcony room on deck 9- is yours a suite or a regular balcony? We have never had a balcony, so I'm interested in its size, etc. You seem to be enjoying yours!

Have you eaten in the Main dining rooms at all?

How about "chair hogs"? Any of that going on?

Keep talking to us! We appreciate it!

First I must tell you my gf is getting mad that I'm on the computer too much - But I feel I owe it to everyone to give a live report as I always enjoyed them myself.

This day is driving me insane - The sun comes out - we get ready - go to the lounge chair and sun goes in. We go back in and the sun comes out - It has become a game that is not funny (only kidding) what can you do.

It is a nice warm day but the clouds keep coming and going. But the pool is packed and the chairs are full.

YES THOSE CHAIR HOGS ARE OUT AGAIN!

We have a standard balcony cabin - The balcony is your normal size - kinda of narrow - We had a mini-suite the last time and the balcony is very wide so there is a big difference but again nothing bothers us - We love cruising so as long as we are on a cruise no cares.

But the cabin is great - no problems what so ever.

We had lunch today outside bbq - hotdog and hamburger - Wasn't really that hungry. LOL.

Tonight we are just going to the main dining room.

We are probably going to go and hang out by the indoor pool tonight for awhile because the drinks are not going down well today...May take a nap before dinner and then I will be okay - Again we are having a great time and anyone thinking of these cruise I think this is our third best cruise - We have been on 51 cruises and we are consider not OLD - My favorite SPIRIT 11 days, SECOND QM2 8 nights and now this one third.

I like the amount of sea days. They say the ship is full but never seems crowded except by the pool.

Okay I'm getting yelled at by the soon to be ex (HAHA)

She want's to try again and go lay out and I said we are sun worshippers.

See ya,

Dave

Okay.... best time for computer use...

While she is in the shower or getting ready for dinner.

While she is getting that massage you have booked for her.

While she is in the casino.

Hope the sun stays out for the both of you.

Jackie
