2. powersrtip, extension cord, and all electronics that are important to capture our vacation.(also bungee cord and duct tape in this catagory)

3. A very well stocked medicine box, with a small emergency kit in it too.(Inside this we keep also, our RX's for med.'s and glasses/contacts)

4. ample wardrobe, and toilettries, to cover any occasion and instance.

5.healthy basics, sanitizing wipes, handgel, air freshner(people say not a health issue but to me breathing in noxious fumes is very not healthy:D )

This is our little list.

Of course this does not include the real essentials.

1. Duct tape (I know not everyone has needed it but we have)

2. Money, money & more money.

3. Appetite (can you really pack that?)

4. Over the door shoe thingy (again we find them handy, not for everyone)

5. Comfortable shoes. IE walking, sandals, dress, etc..

Okay - so, what's with the duct tape? I haven't taken it before.

Have any very recent cruisers (since August) brought wine or champagne on board? I know you can't carry on, but in your lugguge? Any problems? Have done this in the past, but now am told it is not permitted.

Also, can wine be bought in the shop onboard, and brought back to stateroom if the duty (or some fee) is paid at purchase? Have been told this is the case on some cruiselines?

You can't buy wine in the liquor store - only liquor. You can buy wine in the dining room and in some bars, and usually from room service. THIS, I believe, can still come to your room at any time.

But as you were told on the other thread, the wine list isn't very good and the prices are very high. Try "Just Because of You". So far, RC is letting her deliver to cabins.

One cup coffee maker, so I can have my first cup without leaving the cabin.

Extra Hangers

Cigarettes

Tylenol

Extra Booze

:)

If there are not enough hangers in your closet when you arrive, your steward will gladly bring you more! Why waste precious (booze :)) space in your luggage on hangers??? ;)

I had a critical button fly off a never-before worn sweater as I dressed for dinner. DH ran to the concierge desk where they gave him a little sewing kit! I keep it in my purse now.

5 critical things to pack, besides the obvious.

Spirit of adventure, sense of humor, flexibility, good supportive sneakers and a friendly smile for everyone.

 Lanyard -for seapass, clothes never have deep enough pockets

bionoculars- for viewing scenery when coming into ports

nail clippers or small scissors

refillable water bottle - water stays colder with ice cubes

shopping bag with comfortable shoulder straps (everyone gets sunburned shoulders on the first day)

Can I just ask?

What's the duck tape for???? Several peeps have said Duck tape!

From UK, can't work out what you would need that for!

Regards from Me

Brad, it's for the "you-never-knows"

Luggage rip? Fix it with duct tape.

Lose the hem in your dress or trousers? Fix it with duct tape.

Closet door keeps banging in the night because it doesn't latch properly? Fix it with duct tape.

Children won't stop yapping? Well, you get the idea. :)
