What does this mean to me?

You have completed at least one cruise and signed up for Crown and Anchor....

On future cruises you will receive a coupon booklet in your cabin for discounts at Johnny Rockets, internet usage, pictures to purchase...etc.

There is an area of the RCI website for the C&A Society that will outline all the perks of your Gold Member Status - you can find information by clicking on the link below

You'll get a coupon discount book delivered to your cabin on your next cruise. The coupons are for money off purchases onboard. For example there'll be a coupon for buy 1 drink get 1 free, $5 casino money, $5 off internet use, etc. The money off increases as your C & A status increases. That's all gold gets you. You won't be invited to the C & A welcome back reception (need to be Platinum and above). Unless you're in a GS or higher you won't get robes/slippers (though this can vary from ship to ship).

So I can earn 3 cruise credits by sailing in a JS on a cruise 12+ nights? How do B2B's count?

No additional C&A perks for B2B's - aside from your regular cruise credit depending on the type of accommodation you choose.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong about that? We are booked on a B2B on the AOS this February.

BTW, are people ever seen wearing this up on the decks like you see "somewhere else" ?

Never saw anyone wearing the ship's robes on any of the RCI cruises we've taken--but saw an occasional one on Celebrity Mercury, near the pool.

Is that what you mean?

Hey Wolf, your mistaken on the C & A welcome back party. Gold members are invited as well regardless of cabin type.

Actually you do get invited to the C & A welcome back reception, was on AOS in July and I got an invite and I'm only at Gold level.

It depends on the length of the cruise. According ot the RC website, on cruises less than 7 days, the C&A party is for platinum/diamond level. However, it's been my experience on 5 day cruises that there is a general C&A party for all levels. Others have reported differently.

I'm saddened to hear that some people don't consider it means much to be a C&A member. I think it's a nice gesture and appeciate all the things we are given for being members after only 1 cruise. Coupon book, "Welcome Back" party with free drinks and appetizers, and token gift - all just a way of saying "Thanks for being a repeat customer; we appreciate your business."

Nothing wrong with that. I gladly receive that. :)

If you did 2 7 night cruises B2B in a JS - you would earn 4 cruise credits. Each cruise is 1 credit, staying in a JS (or higher) is an additional credit, and a 12-night or longer sailing is an additional credit, so for each cruise you can earn a maximum of 3. Imagine if you did B2B 12 night cruises in a JS, that would be 6 credits.

At Gold, you get the coupon book and an invite to the Welcome Back reception on 7 night cruises or longer. Sometimes they hold the Welcome Back reception on cruises shorter than 7 nights but not usually. In addition, there will be a small gift in your stateroom, I've gotten several tote bags, and a toiletry holder.

Once you reach Platinum, there are additional benefits, including an additional reception onboard for only Platinum/Diamond members that is held on every cruise no matter the length (unlike the Welcome Back reception). Plus balcony discounts and waiver of the custom air fee.

If you cruise with me next summer B2B on the Explorer, you will get 2 cruise credits if in a D or lower category, or 4 if in JS or above. We're in a D1 corner aft, so we'll get 2 for the whole two weeks. :)

But WE are already Diamond. hee hee heee

Workin' on that Diamond Plus thang.

I have seen this on several RCCL cruises........I always roll my eyes:rolleyes:
I am happy to say that *I* have never seen this on a Royal Caribbean cruise. If I had, my eyes would be spinning, too.

On my Princess cruise, I saw almost nekkid guys in the buffet. YUCK.

Well, I am cruising with you next summer, but only on one B. But I got a JS, so I guess that means 2.

What does this mean to me?

It means that you have joined the long list of illustrious individuals who have gone before you. It means you have at last experienced the finest in a cruising experience. It means you can now post on this RCI board with confidence and experience. It means.......... Well, you get the idea. And with a few more cruises there will actually even be some real benefits. :D
