JFK Air Trains

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We will be in NYC pre-cruise and will be staying in a hotel on 55th and 8th in Manhattan. The Air Train is now running. Does anyone know anything about how to use this service.

Thanks for the info.

Monika

The Air Train only connects between JFK and The subway station at Jamaica Queens,You have to get off the Tram and either take a subway or the Long Island RR to Manhattan. Its a real pain if you have a lot of luggage.Shleping up and down the stairs. My Advise to you is take a NY Taxi they are regulated and I think cost 35.00 to your hotel in the city.

I agree: Do NOT take the Airtrain if you have a lot of luggage.

The taxi fare from JFK to anywhere in Manhattan is now $45 plus tolls ($3.75) and tip (customary is 15%, or about $7).
