What exactly is Pol Acker?

We usually leave it as we have plenty of other stuff to drink but you're right, it's more than acceptable as a mixer and when well chilled, it's also not as bad as tradition seems to demand it is, on its own.

I've never tasted it, but I am heeding the advice here and taking a little bottle of peach schnapps and some peach puree (sold as organic baby food, in a sachet 🤣) and making us some Bellinis to have as we unpack.

We were in PG on the QE back in September and there was a bottle of Grand Imperial, a French sparkling wine, in our cabin upon arrival. On 2 occasions during the voyage, a bottle of Pol Acker was left in our cabin refrigerator. The Grand Imperial was nice but not nearly as enjoyable as our beloved Pol Acker.

Last November, in QG, it was just a HALF bottle of PA, thankfully.

We didn't get any last July, but there again, our two bottles were replaced before finishing, throughout the holiday so it seemed churlish to ask for some, which we would probably have left anyway.🙂

We didn’t get any last October either. On embarkation day we got the normal Laurent Perrier and later in the cruise we got left a bottle of Grand Imperial. No Pol Acker appeared but with Hendricks and Grey Goose provided it was not missed.🤣
