crusinpsychRN Posted April 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Does Carnival credit cruises on the other lines they own toward Platinum status and does that status cross lines also? Isn't a 5 day cruise the shortest that counts?
jleq Posted April 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Only Carnival itself [and any cruise on Carnival itself] counts towards Platinum. "Past Passenger" discounts available on all "sister lines"
KatSt Posted April 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Does Carnival credit cruises on the other lines they own toward Platinum status and does that status cross lines also? Isn't a 5 day cruise the shortest that counts? The cruises on other Carnival owned cruise lines do not count towards Platinum on Carnival ships. Each cruise line, even though owned by the Carnival Corporation, has it's own rewards program.:( We were told that you can get past guest discounts for cruising on any of the Carnival owned cruiselines. That does cross over. We haven't tried it yet. Any length cruise on Carnival counts as 1 cruise towards Platinum. It doesn't have to be 5 days or greater.:)
Wennfred Posted April 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2008 No, each cruiseline has their own program for their guest. Fred
CHARLESV32 Posted April 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Carnival only counts the cruises you went on a Carnival Ship not a sister ship(ex. Princess, Costa, Holland, etc...). But they do extend discounts to you on their sister ships as well as Carnival itself for past guest discounts. Hope this helps!!
dan40 Posted April 22, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I think the 5 day or longer cruise is for the past guest party. Shorter Carnival cruises count toward Platinum but only have a Captain's party, no PG party. Dan
firefly333 Posted April 22, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I think any cruise counts too toward platinum Dad is right. Even a cruise to no where.

DqALEX Posted April 22, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 22, 2008 If all other carnival lines counted there would be a lot more Platinum members. I don't think Carnival would want that.
