My list includes cameras, I cherish my cruise vacation documentation (pictures), digital camera and underwater camera are essential.

And a smile/good attitude, no matter what problems/situatiions may arise.

Have fun on a GREAT cruise! And tell us all about it when you get back! Maybe you need to bring a journal too.....

Where are you going?

We are just doing a short 3 night 4 day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas. For us it will be the longest we have ever left the kids.

Oh yeah that is the other thing on my list to do to night - I am getting all the paperwork notarized for medical forms for my dad and stepmom to seek medical treatment for the kids.

I also need to print out my vacation insurance stuff.

The #1 MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO BEFORE YOU CRUISE: Take a deep breath, let go of all stress and HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME! If you forget something, it can be bought. You kids will have a great time and be just fine when you get home. You & your dh will have some much deserved "quality" time. ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY! Deb

A small first aid kit. I know you can get items at the purser's desk but what happens when you are on shore or it is 2:00 AM and you need a band aide. I carry a few band-aides, aspirins, and first aid antibiotic cream with me every where I go. I also throw in a few Pept0-Bismol tablets. They help to relieve a stomach ailment or you know what?

All good ideas, I also take a folder with a piece of cardboard in it so that if we purchase any photos on board I can transport them home alittle more saftely, in the folder I keep docs, compass etc that I want to take home that way it is all in one place. Also if you are a scrapbooker write down any info you want to remember from each day, I have several cruises that I need to do scrapbooks for and it is hard sometimes to remember what happen on each cruise.

Have a great time!

Don't forget your set-sail pass or your doc's and your passport.

If you have time, make a couple of photo copies of your passports. Leave one copy at home for your records (or for your parents to hold onto incase of an emergency) and pack the other in your luggage (someplace different than your originals). In the event of an emergency, you will have an extra copy of your passport numbers, etc. to refer to.

Enjoy your cruise!!!

Many people find a highlighter helpful for marking activities you'd like to do in the daily cruise compass.

Don't forget to also budget for any of the following that apply to your interests: Adult beverages, Souvenairs, Photos taken by ship photographer, Casino, Specialty Restaurant, Premium coffees, Spa.

Have a great trip! :)

I haven't been on a cruise yet where they've provided shower caps! I have long hair, so I use one on those days in between shampooing.

When packing my toiletries, I mentally go through the stages of getting ready as I'm packing, so I don't forget any. And when packing my make-up (usually the morning I leave), as I use each item I put it in the make-up case I'm taking.

Take your drivers license and credit card (needed to "guarantee" your ship pass charges) and if you have any prescription medications make sure to pack. There's very little that you couldn't replace with something sold on the ship - so ENJOY!!:p

One more item that I will not leave out of my bag again. and that is super glue! on our last cruise my husband broke his glasses frame while playing basketball and the ship did not have any superglue, this was an item that I had usually packed but in trying to cut down on packing I omited it and guess what we needed it bad. It was actually hard to find in port also, it took us at least two hours from store to store looking finally found it in one of the drug stores. I have a new tube of this in our cruise stuff waiting on the next cruise hopefully we won't have to use it but I learned my lesson the hard way, its small and it will always go with us.

Lynn the Cruiser, glad that it helped, it was really bad when we did not have the superglue with us coz he really cannot see to well without his glasses and they could not be worn without being glued, I used to take an extra pair of glasses for him, but then again with the "trying" to cut down on what we pack I did not take them either. Lesson learned.
