Tikibird Posted August 11, 2008 #77 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Cruise Critic is such a great site for cruising. I was wondering do any of you know of a comparable site for land travel? I have used Trip Advisor and Virtual Tourist but they don't quite compare to this board. I use these and http://www.flyertalk.com. I wish VT and TA would install VBulletin, so much easier to use! dbub Posted September 4, 2008 #80 Share Posted September 4, 2008 A fun and interactive site for a not so fun situation is: http://www.stormpulse.com/ It is an Atlantic Ocean tropical-storm tracker that I like even better than NOAA and wunderground. I use this for all my US airport maps and abbreviations. This way I know exactly where I am going on change overs and terminals. I print out the airport layout I will be flying in and out of and put it with my tickets. ;) http://www.airportterminalmaps.com/ Other countries. petesweet Posted April 5, 2009 #85 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Here's another good one: http://www.nauticalcities.com/cruiseships.php?operator=All%20Operators I second the vote on this one. If you're just curious, it is a cool site. If it really matters to you what size ship you are going on, it is very helpful.

Cthy651 Posted April 5, 2009 #88 Share Posted April 5, 2009 As Crusie critic poster, you have shared information as well as benefit from information posted. What web sites have you found that you use for your cruising experience? Please share some of your favorite sites. Of course I always use www.cruisecritic.com as a source of valuable information. I just found out about www.porttime.com. from a cc poster. This site will tell you what ships are in port. This is helpful to us as we will know before we leave if the port will have a lot of visitors from cruise ships while we are there. Great Thread. Thanks for sharing everyone;)
butterfly2 Posted April 5, 2009 #89 Share Posted April 5, 2009 One I forgot to mention is http://www.hotelsbythepier.com/ A handy guide to hotels close to the cruise piers. Bruce, you are right about that grain of salt. I remember one review where the poster wrote about Formica counter tops and plastic cups as huge negatives for her hotel room (oh, the horrors! )....I had to LOL on that. ;) Thanks! THis is very helpful to me!
petesweet Posted April 5, 2009 #90 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Unless I've overlooked it, no one has mentioned the valuable site by one of our very own here on RCCL Cruise Critic--SABBO. It helps you track price drops on your upcoming cruises: http://www.*****.net
butterfly2 Posted April 5, 2009 #91 Share Posted April 5, 2009 www.twopalms.com This is a webcam in Coco Beach. Between 10-20 minutes after the ship leaves in Port Canaveral it sails right by this beach and the webcam picks it up really well. I used to LOVE watching the Mariner OTS sail by each Sunday. If my Inlaws were down in Coco Beach and went to watch the ships leave they would call me on their cell so that I could hear the ships horn blow......Then I would go to this website and watch her sail by.
