OT: Favorite Non Cruise Photograph

Recommended Posts

I'll add a few more Blue Angels pics to from the recent Naval Academy show. They are my first attempt at catching fast moving planes as the zoom by at mach speeds:
Wow, you were way closer than I was. Were you on the Academy grounds? Great shots!:)

I have a friend that lives right across the river from the Academy. It's a great viewing spot. We go every year, but this is the first year I've had a camera capapble of taking decent shots. Thanks!

Markstudy, even with the rain those shots are beautiful! Where is that in the Tampa area? We're cruising out of Tampa in Oct. & now I'm wondering if we have time to visit that gorgeous river...

Canoe Escape http://www.canoeescape.com/

The business is located next to University of South Florida USF

On the Hillsborough River (its about 40 minutes from the port)

Trip #1 is the best trip. Not expensive at all. Its a fantastic 1/2 day adventure.

You will see gators (they don't bother anyone) and you do have to scoot over

a few down trees. But its a family favorite around here.

I wouldn't rate it as difficult. But I wouldn't rate it for someone who has never paddled a canoe.

You do need to steer around objects.

I love the lighting in this one. Never thought a mule could look so pretty!

Hey ~ you are so right regarding your comment.... "never thought a mule could look so pretty" :) Hope that mule driver gets to see the picture...might give him a different perspective on his mule driving job! :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I haven't been around this board for long; our first ever cruise is coming up later this year. I found this thread this morning and looked through the first 21 pages and I am amazed at the wonderful photos. I can't wait to look through the rest.

Here are some of mine.

Here's my favorite. I was chasing hot air balloons one morning as they were going over a local lake. Went down to a friends dock and almost fell in the water which, when I did, I saw the reflection.

I too enjoy photographing flowers and nature. Yesterday I went to the Brooklyn Botanical gardens and I will be sharing some photos. Here is another one my hubby took. Hope you like it.

Here's a photo from in front of the house.... the frog is silver, and really caught my eye as I walked by ;)
