The rates for Princess August 2009 Alaska cruises dropped again this weekend (specifically Diamond Princess 29 August 2009 dropped $200pp for BD Category). Ken

Thanks to the posts about the drops I looked ours up. Ours went down over $400 pp on our August cruise. Put a call in to the TA today & left a message. Hope that tomorrow will find out what we can get from the drop. Have never done this before but have read other posts about upgrades, OBC's & refunds. We will see what happens.

It doesn't surprise me since it happened to me on our last 2 cruises this year. All the more reason to wait out booking anything until the last minute if you can adjust your schedule accordingly & take the chance of the ship being filled. ;)

I woiuld have surprised me either since we did our Alaskan cruise this year and we are always up-side-down on these big fare reductions. (Also don't ever get in line behind me because that will be the slowest line - guaranteed.:D)

My June mini has not gone down anymore since mid-November. Actually, it has gone up $145 per person since then. :p I want to join in the fun!
