Glacier Bay National Park vs Tracy Arm Fjord

We are considering a September Alaskan Cruise on the Golden next year. There are two slightly different itineraries with ones cruise doing scenic cruising of Glacier Bay National Park while the next cruise doing scenic cruising of Tracy Arm Fjord. Is one better than another?

We are considering a September Alaskan Cruise on the Golden next year. There are two slightly different itineraries with ones cruise doing scenic cruising of Glacier Bay National Park while the next cruise doing scenic cruising of Tracy Arm Fjord. Is one better than another?

 

I have been at both and they each are very unique but if i had a choice Glacier bay National Park would be it. Absolutely beautiful. Tracy Arm Fjord is fantastic with all of those fjords but Glacier Bay is really spectacular. I guess that is why it is a National Park.

I've done both on the same trip in 2007. Glacier Bay is your best choice. Tracy Arm should be seen on a day cruise from Juneau. Myself, our Tracy Arm was the highlight of our trip, but it was on a day cruise from Juneau.

Glacier Bay. Tracy Arm is nice, but nowhere near as spectacular, and if there is too much floating ice you can't get that close to the final glacier.
