Question about port stops in country that requires Visa
VentureMan_2000 replied to Eli_6's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
You are responsible for all required documentation. Carnival does not provide any help. Carnival states: Carnival requires guests to provide proper travel documentation in order to travel. The documentation is required at embarkation and throughout the cruise and is the responsibility of the guest. Our policy states that any guest traveling without proper documentation will be denied boarding the ship and will be under full penalty, and therefore, will not be offered a refund or a replacement cruise. Guests must contact the appropriate embassy or consulate of the countries they will be visiting for specific travel documentation requirements. Carnival assumes no responsibility for advising guests of Immigration requirements. -
What's the Carnival bartender's expectation?
VentureMan_2000 replied to mfs2k's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Yes, it true that the only drinks with the 18% are those charged to the S&S individually. While you pay an 18% surcharge for gratuities for the full Cheers package daily price, or $10.80, after 5 drinks, the gratuity percentage declines significantly. So, if you have 10 drinks, then you are only TIPing half that amount, or 9%. Drinks Price TIP % 1 $12 90.00% 2 $12 45.00% 3 $12 30.00% 4 $12 22.50% 5 $12 18.00% 6 $12 15.00% 7 $12 12.86% 8 $12 11.25% 9 $12 10.00% 10 $12 9.00% 11 $12 8.18% 12 $12 7.50% 13 $12 6.92% 14 $12 6.43% 15 $12 6.00% -

I'm still trying to decern why someone would need to shave a few minutes off the amount of time they would wait in line for a cocktail... you're on a ship... where are you in a hurry to get to ? 🤣 -
You sound like a reasonable person...

Make sure you have your luggage tags on your luggage. The tags will also have "Priority" printed on them. Then the Steward knows your bags belong to that room and cruise.

Confused about stockperks
VentureMan_2000 replied to Castaway Cowgirl's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
What is nice is that once StockPerks verifies your shares, then you can use their App to redeem all cruises going forward ( currently, for cruises through Dec 2024 ). I had booked a couple more cruises later and was able to easily redeem my shareholder OBC for those cruises. Previously, I would have had to send in a new request to Carnival for each newly booked cruise. -
Yes... Platinum, Diamond, and FTTF is allowed to but only to drop them off in your room. You cannot stay. Drop and Leave, they say.

Just an app. Kind of a 2-step process. After StockPerks confirms your eligibility, then you use the app to submit a shareholder OBC request to Carnival. -
Changes to Carnival Loyalty Program

Carnival limits you to 15 drinks... Cheers package or not. -
I've seen before at the Alchemy Bar tables as they are long with plenty of seating (before Alchemy opens). The Left Right Center host (organizer) was walking up and down the length of the tables with a big'ol wad of cash in his hand -- collecting and distributing money. I'm sure there was hundreds of dollars in his hand. Didn't bother me... but I do get the whole gambling not allowed rule. Cruise Lines do have to meet Federal laws and other country's laws.
