How to win a free cruise from playing in the Casino

I have read many reviews and seen and heard from people on board about these wonderful dirt cheap promotions and free cruise vouchers that people get for playing in the casino. My question is how much time or money does it take to get these type of player promotions? I don't spend a lot of time in the casino but I could if I knew there was some sort of scale to track what i needed for a free cruise. Does anyone have any insight into this? Thanks in advance!

And I'm pretty sure that the Players Club doesn't really want people to know their exact formulae for giving these offers since there would be plenty of people who would play just up to the requirement and stop.

It's like that somewhat famous scientific experiment where if you give the rat the cheese every, say, 4th push of the button, he won't be as motivated to press it because he knows exactly when he's going to be rewarded. But if you give it to him at random intervals, he's more apt to mash the button.

I'm just off the Legend. 7000 points and hit a Royal Flush...at the end of the cruise, letter for free cruise up to 8 days, my choice It has to be taken by Nov. 30th, so I can't use it, darn, but this just for info if you want to get an idea. As far as how much dollars, it depends on if you hit good streaks which I did this time. My understanding is you have to hit at least 5000 points to get any offer.

I had a casino offer rate when I logged into Carnival, and that offer made the interior cabin I wanted for my cruise next month a couple hundred dollars cheaper. The day after booking I got an email saying to print it out and bring to casino for $25 in Fun Chips. I have MAYBE (and it's a stretch) spent $300-$400 in the casinos total on my previous 3 cruises. I don't spend a ton of time in there either, and I certainly am not making any crazy bets. Just quarter slots and the occasional roulette game. My sister who cruises with me and spends about the same time and money as me in the casinos didn't have this offer. So anyways based on me getting this offer (is it common? I don't even know!) I would think it's kind of a crap shot how they give out offers, I certainly don't feel like I have spent enough there to qualify for anything!

I don't think that is totally true. I am currently booked on my 2nd free casino cruise. I am going in October. I received the same offer last year, free interior room, just pay port taxes, but I hadn't been on a cruise in 5 years prior to getting the offer last year, and have never spent more than about $150 in the casino. I can't explain why Carnival sends me these offers, but as long as they do, and I can make it work with my schedule, I am going to continue to utilize them.

Not true about 5000 points for a free cruise. I got a free offer letter in my cabin after less than 2000 points.

A few weeks after a different cruise, also less than 2000 points, I received an ultra and a premium cruise offer in my VIFP box.

What is true is that no one of us posters know how the casino chooses to give out its offers.

I am not a big spender in the casinos, my budget for a 7 day cruise is $250. Last cruise on the Sunshine in April I never spent a cent, had an URI for a few days and never felt like playing. Got home, we had no Carnival cruises booked, and in June got an offer for $50 per person, with $100 OBC. Had many cruises to choose from, even the Journey cruises. We booked a 7 day on the Miracle for end of February 2016.

So I have no ideal what logic or requirements they use for these cruises.

Just got a free cruise offer a couple of months ago on the Splendor. Had about $800 coin in from a group slot pull and i played on $250 total at the roulette table for maybe 2 hours a day for 4 days only betting $5 a spin. Got the drinks on us card the 3rd night and got the free cruise offer the last night.

I play the tables and spent about $500 on my Inspiration cruise, but I was always betting for the dealers and the pit boss wrote me down as betting bigger and I was able to get the aft wrap on breeze for $1150 total for 2 people. Was going for $2400 at the time.

After asking the casino host on our last cruise she indicated that the offers went out to those who

A) played in the casino throughout the trip

b) did NOT have another cruise booked at that time.

She also said offers to your offers on line were more apt to go to those without a cruise currently booked.

Don't know if that is the case but we have played between $500-$1000 in the casino for a 7 night trip and gotten nothing and this last time we were on a back to back got nothing after 1st cruise and received an offer after the 2nd leg.

Same here, I sailed on B2B on Splendor end of May. I got bounce back after 2nd leg. I'm sailing again Aug 12th ,not spending much time in there this time as I have another cruise (free) booked for October so I will not receive a bounce back offer this time . Doesn't matter how much time or $ I spend in casino. I will spend it in Oct. when I don't have a future cruise booked. I sailed 6x last year and 1 B2B 16 days so far this year and only paid minimal for 1st as a Premiere .And in the end they actually gave me more $ back than it cost me for cruise. So from now on,if it's not a free offer I'll stay home.

Not really sure of the formula as only play table games, not a huge fan of slots. But I'm using a free cruise offer for next month and just received a premier cruise offer over the weekend to book another so I'm not sure how carnival chooses those deals. All I know is I'll keep booking if they keep offering! 😆
