Hambagahle Posted December 31, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2011 You still have to pay a hefty per diem charge to be able to drink all you like on Oceania. It doesn't make it "all inclusive" so in my view, it doesn't make it a luxury line!

haydensydney Posted January 6, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2012 Quick question. The linked article mentions that they keep track of consumption to prevent "over-consumption". Does this mean that crew will stop you from drinking if they think that you've had too much - or, do they track your consumption electronically, and therefore your only allowed one or two drinks an hour? I know a number of people with differing alcohol tolerances, and I would be slightly agitated if I paid $49 / day but was limited from having a drink if I felt I was OK but a crew member/computer said I was "too over". I'm no alcoholic, but my partner and I can easily down a bottle of white each over dinner + cocktails afterwards, hence my concern :)

I think that's what we shall do. regards Josie

martinsfo Posted January 22, 2012 #9 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Sorry for the snarkiness, but since when is Oceania a luxury line?
Rare LHT28 Posted January 22, 2012 #10 Share Posted January 22, 2012 I have yet to see a definition of what make a luxury line LUXURY other than price Maybe it is the more you pay the more upscale it is:confused:
SanFranCruizer Posted February 1, 2012 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2012 I like it because then I don't have to sign chits etc. My family and I all intend to get this for our cruise in 2013.
