Have you went on the Canary Island cruise?

We are looking for private excursions for the following islands: Tenerife, Las Palmas, Lanzarote, and Vigo. Did you take an excursion that you would highly recommend?

Thanks for your input!

This is a fabulous company to explore Tenerife with. Jaime was absolutely one of the best guides we had on our Transatlantic last year. We did the North walking tour. He picked us up at the ship and we drove to many lovely towns and scenic areas. He loves Tenerife and he is proud to show you the area and all the wonderful towns and nature. Make sure you have a wine tasting!!! When the day was over, he dropped us back at the ship and also had a little Tenerife gift for all of us. A great day with great guide!

just a caveat based on our experience

We originally booked with Jaime from feel Tenerife based on his great trip advisor reviews

we booked on a per person basis for a 7 seater van and he would fill the other seats-fair enough

later we heard from another couple on our roll call but they were on a 12 seater van with same company

we contacted Jaime and he said that he had decided to increase the size of van but it would be the same cost despite more person to guide ratio

we offered a private tour at 4 person rate but he arrogantly refused stating I know my business and know I can fill the van

At that point we all cancelled and booked with John Reid which was a great decision

incidentely on our Tenerife tour we came across the Feel Tenerife tour van which had a total of 2 passengers so so much for filling his van-he would have made much more profit with our offer!

Also we noted Jaime spoke with a thick Spanish accent which was hard to interpret whereas John spoke with a perfect English accent

We spent approximately 6 hours with Jaime and had no problem at all understanding his English. As he comes from a Spanish speaking country I would expect him to have an accent.

I can only relate to our experience and it was exceptional.

Vigo is not an island. It is a city on the Spanish mainland. We just went around town on the local tourist bus but if you want a longer excursion, many people go to Santiago de Compostela to see the cathedral.

When you say you used John Reid instead and he was an excellent decision, Where doI find him? TIA

I contacted Bruno two days ago, but have not heard back.

he may be busy with tours all day as this is peak tourist season

however check your spam/junk mail as I often find emails end up their for obscure reasons

funny how the truly junk emails always get through!
