These 2014 voyages are not yet shown on our US/Canada website but there addition is forthcoming. I am copying the UK office with this message not only about the expanded list of voyages, but also about ensuring the correct tariffs.

Bill - if you want an additional 'attention to detail' snafu please can you point out to them that when I download the shore excursions for my 2014 cruise it still says "Your Azamazing Evening for 2013 is listed in this brochure and if you are cruising in 2014 your Azamazing Evenings event is not yet available...as soon as it is it will be listed in this brochure"

Neither of which is correct...:rolleyes:

The evening is showing on page 5 and I have already booked!

Hi Bill. Just to let you know that the pricing on the UK website is still wrong for these single cruises. I can give you a practical example of what this means. I have a friend who has cruised a number of times on Azamara and loves them like I do. Two other friends are already booked on Quest for the 16th March 2014 sailing, Miami roundtrip. Helen wanted to join them, checked the price via the website and decided £4569 for an outside cabin was too much. She was disappointed as she would really have liked to join her two friends. She just happened to mention this to me. "I'll check it out for you" says I. Lo and behold this cruise is one of the 125% single supplement deals. I checked the price with my excellent Personal Cruise Specialist and she confirmed the price for the same category outside is £2891 vs £4569 on the website. It know looks likely that Helen will book it.

Bill, I really don't understand what is going on. It is exasperating. Is it that Azamara aren't really that keen on single occupancy guests booking the 125% deals? This special rate for singles is touted elsewhere on the site, but when you go to book it it's not there. Someone really needs to look at this as a matter of urgency. You are probably losing sales because of it.

I love Azamara, but boy do I get frustrated with pricing cruises I think I might like to do. I am looking at taking a cruise earlier part of next year and click on the "Special Offers" and "Savings for Singles" tabs on the website. Listed as one of them is Journey 3rd March 14 Night Trades of the Orient cruise so I click on the "Book Now" tab under the heading "Book it!" and it brings up a price that rather than being the advertised 125% is twice the per person double occupancy price. £7400 is just way more than I want to pay as a single for a 14 night cruise. I'm left wondering if it's a mistake.

 

I'm getting emails every week or so from Seabourn with special deals that make much more sense financially. Azamara, you are wanting to advance your business, but are going to lose your loyal customers like me if you continue to try and deliver your product with such a shoddy website with incorrect information. Coupled with the fact that going forward I am going to be unable to speak to my Personal Cruise Consultant in the UK and have to start dealing with a call centre in Guatemala. It's all a bit depressing. Rant over.

As a single who sails Seabourn I have to say their single supplements usually aren't so hot. Better than say Regents but I don't recall ever getting down to 125%.

Do you happen to know if/when the list of 2015 itineraries eligible for the 125% Single Supplement will be augmented? Right now, each of the two ships has only two sailings on the 2015 list--one each at the beginning of the year and one each at the end--and all are repositioning cruises... There are no opportunities to create well-priced [from a solo perspective], back-to-back experiences as there were at this time last year...

Late last April/early May, I booked three consecutive cruises on Journey in Asia this year [3 February, 17 February (which terminated early as a result of a mechanical issue), and 3 March (which needed to be cancelled for dry dock)] under the reduced Single Supplement...

You will note from my signature that I've created my bookings with Azamara for 2015 [the remainder of my 2014 cruise plans were set a year ago] so as to use the generous Future Cruise Discount Certificates issued in compensation; those must be used on sailings departing by the end of 2015... But those certificates are also based upon price paid--I understand that rationale--and, as the list stands now, it was impossible to find a meaningful trip--worthy of substantial airfare investment and, in some cases, visas--without a significant dip into the wallet for the cruise fare component too...

I don't want to come across as whiny or self-serving, understand that Azamara is not a charitable institution, and my own die may well be cast in any case [one of my sailings is full freight, the other is discounted but I'm now psyched about Rio]... It would however be nice to know if and when additional viable alternatives for Azamara's solo following during 2015--whether impacted by Journey's mechanical or not--may be forthcoming...

Thanks Bonnie. The list has always been up but the problem Phil was describing is that when you go to make a booking the site reverts to 200% pricing. I've tried this on numerous itineraries. Is there a promotional code relevant to this type of booking? Perhaps that could be the problem.

It looks like there are only 4 cruises (2 on Quest and 2 on Journey) for 2015 that are eligible for the 125% single supplement offer - 2 in early 2015 and 2 in late 2015. Will additional cruises be added to this list?

We also have a single friend who would join us on a cruise that we have booked, but 200% of the fare is not affordable for her.

I'll ask the Revenue Management Team if/when there will be more 2015 voyages with a Single Supplement of 125%.

My guess is it will be closer in to sailing date(s), but let's see what they say.
