what is the dress code for ?

me and my family are going on freedom of the seas in 2 weeks, but we are a bit worried about the dress code at nights, if we go to the casino or a night club is jeans and a shirt acceptable ??

No worries. What you suggest is more than fine. You'll see others in even more casual attire (shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops etc.)

if you have a way to carry money into the casino, you will be fine. :)

The suggested dress is really only for the dining room....you will find folks in all manner of dress throughout the ship at night.

Jeans or shorts after dinner will be fine, and you won't be the only ones.

Your teenaged son can't wear shorts to dinner in the MDR. He'll be fine in pants & a polo.

Jeans are permitted for all everywhere on the ship including the dining room every night except formals.

You can were shorts and casual clothes everywhere except the dining room every night. That includes the casino, shops and shows.

My adult son rarely dresses up for anything. However, he did agree to bring khakis and some collar shirts for eating dinner in the MDR. And as soon as dinner was over, he peeled off the outfit and went back to his jeans and tshirts

Even I changed to comfortable clothes right after dinner, and I'm a 50 year old female. The dress code is mostly for the dining room. However, if you are all ready for dinner early on formal night, it's nice to get a family portrait done. No sitting fees, and you only purchase if you like how photo came out.
