jvcruiser18 Posted September 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Any recommendations for a shuttle from Fort Lauderdale (we will be at a hotel) to the Miami port? We have 13 people in our group, 3 of them are kids in car seats. Also, it is smarter to bring your own car seats for travel, or rent them once we arrive in FL? CruiserBruce Posted September 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Welcome to Cruise Critic! Come over to the Florida Departures board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=495 where you will find MANY threads that answer this exact question. However, don't know the answer to your child seat question.

Marie51 Posted September 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) We used the following: http://www.johnscarservice.com He provided a carseat at no extra charge. How are you going to get from the airport to the hotel? Edited September 28, 2014 by Marie51
herbanrenewal Posted September 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2014 Rented a car at less than a third of the cost of a van for 4 people. Picked up at airport and dropped off at pier.

They have 13 people.......multiple car rentals would be necessary and then there would be an extra charge for car seats.
swedish weave Posted September 28, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2014 Check http://www.ridesas.com I don't know about the car seats, and they have a list of Ft Lauderdale hotels they pick up from on their website. Rates for large groups are $13 per person. Possibly less for a group of 13 people.
Grog5 Posted September 28, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2014 On our last cruise, we flew into FLL and cruised out of Miami. We used SAS for our shuttle. Everything went perfectly. I highly recommend them. I doubt they will have car seats for the young-uns but you should call them to confirm this. You never know until you ask. Have a great cruise. Rob&Bonnie Posted September 28, 2014 #11 Share Posted September 28, 2014 We used SAS last trip and they had a van at the port with several car seats in it waiting for passengers. I don't know if the car seats were SAS owned or were left with SAS when they dropped off passengers at the start of the cruise.

I had checked with them(SAS) and they told me they did not have car seats and did not pick up from the hotel we were staying at(Doubletree Gallery One) so we went with Johns car service which provided a carseat and charged us $80 for 10 people. That's like 8 bucjs a person. R u sure they are aware you are going to the port in Miami and not the port if fll?

R u sure they are aware you are going to the port in Miami and not the port if fll? Yes, I do realize they need to get from FLL to POM but I am just suggesting this car service because they provided us a carseat which some of the others do not. The OP stated that they need carseats. The price of $80 was for 10 of us from FLL to Doubletree hotel and same price from hotel to Port Everglades.
