Happy Hour Prices

On a recent wonderful cruise my husband and I were surprised to see that Happy Hour prices were now "Buy one-get one for $2. This was on the Noordam going from Sydney to Sydney .Have all the HH prices changed or is it unique to this ship?

It's fleet wide. They hadn't raised the 2nd drink price since 2004 or 2005.

The price of the second drink -- $2 at Happy Hour was raised on all ships a few months ago.

oh my - I'll have to adjust my cruise budget for that extra dollar - :)

If it makes you feel better, the new $2 extra drink does not have the cap (previous limit was $8) that the $1 extra drink did. Go for a double Patron Anejo, Macallan Select, or Remy Martin XO.

Even at $2, it is still a good deal!

We like getting the 2nd martini sampler for $2.00. The Happy Hour deal on Holland is definitely the best drink special I've seen on any cruise line we've sailed.

Yes, $2 for the second is now the HH. We have noticed most of the good servers take orders prior to the 4 to 5 happy hour as they know they will have too many to serve otherwise. We had nice hors d'oeuvres, too.

I think that the drink prices in general are a good deal and Happy Hour is just icing on the cake.

We also noticed that as well on our last couple of cruises - especially with people that they saw nearly every day at Happy Hour.

We like getting the 2nd martini sampler for $2.00. The Happy Hour deal on Holland is definitely the best drink special I've seen on any cruise line we've sailed.

Haven't sailed on HAL for awhile. Will you describe the martini sampler?

Curious about the martini sampler as well - anyone have details? Sounds interesting....
