Have I made a mistake?

We have chosen stateroom #8038 (Signature Suite) on the Oosterdam.

Now I see it is directly under the ping pong table on deck #9.

Has anyone else had exprienced being under the ping pong? Noise issue?

... it all depends on how soundly you (and your cabin mate) sleep and, in turn, your noise tolerance level ... for me it is not and has never been a problem ...

If you are concerned then you should switch to another stateroom.

First of all they are not going to be playing ping pong when your trying to sleep at night. We have been under the Lido deck many times and except for some chair scrapping in the morning/afternoon (breakfast and lunch time) it really isn't that bad. Its much louder out on your balcony then in your cabin. We've never regretted having a cabin under the Lido area.

I like the cabins under the Lido deck, but under the carpeted area of the lido buffet dining. Easy (one deck) access to the Lido buffet for a quick coffee or snack, plus normally very quiet.

Thanks all! We love being forward! Loved deck #11 on Eurodam and NA. Felt like the Crows Nest was our living room!

Been on deck#10 forward and loved that. Easy access to Lido and the gym and spa which we use a lot.

Always had a Verandah... so this is our first time in a Signature Suite. I just didn't want to spoil our "splurge" with a lot of overhead noise.

Still hoping someone that has stayed in this cabin will see my post.

We had cabin 8038 on the Oosterdam's sister ship, the Noordam and it was great. I specifically chose it because it was the most forward SS cabin and at the Ping-Pong corner of the Lido pool area. As I recall, we heard noise one morning when the ping pong table was being moved, but that was it. I would not hesitate to book the same cabin on any Vista Class ship. We really liked that cabin. I hope you will, too! I hope this helps you! Have a great cruise!
