Best ship for 'game' type slot machines please?

Hello fellow cruisers!

We are looking to book our next cruise and was hoping some of you knowledgeable people could give us a bit of advice about which have the best gaming machines.

We like to play slot machines that have 'games' attached to them, rather than straight fruit / bar machines (there's often an extra screen at the top of the machine where the 'game' is played. Our favorites have been the Village people slot, one where you (a duck adventurer) goes off on a mission to explore that means picking caves to enter or keys to try in a lock etc.

We have cruised only 5 times so far and the quantity and quality of the game machines in the casino has varied across the ships we tried. I was hoping for some advice from fellow cruisers who like the casinos and might be able to share their experiences?

Ideally we would like to cruise from the UK (avoiding flights due to wheelchair complications) and on a larger ship (as they tend to cater better for wheelchairs) but might be tempted to put up with the hassle for the right ship!

I appreciate any advice!

Juls,

You may also want to check out the Casino Board.

Keith

I spent quite some time looking through the posts and searched the forums as well but nothing really matched what we are asking for, at least, not that I could find!

I think we must be quite niche!

From my somewhat limited experience I would say that NCL has the best selection of video slots overall. Royal Princess had some decent ones (not payout wise though:mad:). Crown Princess was a bit grim (in 2010 anyway).

P&O Oriana's casino was pathetically tiny.

HAL Ryndam was fairly small as well.

Independence of the Seas had some decent machines but they were rather crowded together.

The newer NCL ships have a big casino with loads of choice.

JMHO.

I like those slot machines with games, too But they seem to be less common now.

The last few ships I've been on have had very few of them. I like them because they add a little 'extra' interest and more chances to win. Most recent ships without them were Constellation and Equinox. Most recently I've been pushed into the video Blackjack games.

Do you mean the video slots with bonus games?

Yes, like the Village People party and Gold Fish machines.

(Thank you to everyone who has replied by the way, very kind of you to take the time and share your knowledge!)

They have TONS of "video" slots....tons! No worries! I prefer the 3 cherry games....but they are "old school" nowadays! you will have no problems finding slots that you like. That doesn't mean you're going to win anything...winning is rare on ship! They have no incentive for you to win. Know that going in!
