Hands down, my favourite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale is Coconuts! Great food and you can sit right by the water! They have this crab claw appetizer called Scoobies , which are delicious!

Capone's Flickerlight Lounge - Across A1A from Margartitaville. I was just there on Friday...Great music, cold beer, great menu of great food and FREE PARKING!

We stayed in Hollywood, a little south of Ft. Lauderdale. Ate at a place right on the Intercoastal Waterway called Le Tub. Had the absolutely best peel and eat shrimp in Cajun spices that I have ever had. So good that we went back again and had the same thing for lunch the next day. Website is http://www.theletub.com. The burgers were also FANTASTIC!

We will be staying at Best Western Oceanside, on Seabreeze Blvd.

You can easily walk to Coconuts from there. Bahia Cabana is closer but the food is very mediocre...you could stop there for a drink.
