We are staying the night before the cruise. We are looking for maybe a bar like over the water to eat? My and Pop place something that's good and not a chain. Thanks everyone for the help.

Check out the websites for these restaurants which are on the intracoastal:

We stayed in Hollywood, a little south of Ft. Lauderdale. Ate at a place right on the Intercoastal Waterway called Le Tub. Had the absolutely best peel and eat shrimp in Cajun spices that I have ever had. So good that we went back again and had the same thing for lunch the next day. Website is http://www.theletub.com. The burgers were also FANTASTIC!
