Cigarettes-can you buy just one carton of Marlboro

We have bought a 5 carton box and a three carton box, do the ships sell one carton at a time?

YES

and the bars sell single packs

but the packs are more expensive-I'm not sailing with another smoker this time, and Dh has informed me he is quitting-so it's just me, and I don't want to bring back a lot of cigarettes of a brand I don't normally smoke.:o

Just off the Splendor this week. A carton of Marlboro is $37.50. A pack of Marlboro at the bar is $5.00..

A bargain, either way...since cigs in NJ are $8.75 a pack and NY is closer to $12.

Quick question. Can you buy a carton on the ship and be able to smoke them right away or is it like buying a bottle of booze and you can't have it until you dock at the home port?

If you buy cigarettes on the ship you can take them and use them right away. No holding them to the end like they do with the liquor.

They added a 15 percent tip (.75) to cig packs sold at the bars on the Magic recently.

FYI the Fun Shops are not open till you leave the port.

Cigarette cartons from the Fun shops wont be available to purchase until you are in "international waters", so if your ship leaves port at 4 in the afternoon, you will be able to buy around 7 or 8 in the evening-don't go on thinking you will be able to buy them that minute, I always bring 3 packs in case of departure debacles.

... meaning if you think you are going to need to smoke between boarding and seven or eight that night you are probably going to want to bring enough to get you through.

Keep in mind the Customs limit. You can only bring back so many with the duty-free stamp.

You definitely should be able to buy just 1 carton of any brand in the shop.

I usually wait till later. In my experience they almost always drop the prices near the end of the cruise, like maybe Day 5 of a 7-day cruise.

I have never seen cigarette prices at the end of the cruise. I have seen cerrain brands run out by the end of the cruise.

The ship nor the ports had Marlboro Menthol full-flavored last week. My partner had to find substitutes the whole time.

The bars do sell sigle packs right away. You can still be in the embarkation port and purchase them.
