Hot chocolate is a "free" drink at all locations, not just the cafe promenade. Kids will enjoy!

Any idea if the hot chocolate, like most foods/drinks aboard, is made from scratch, or is it out of a Swiss Miss-type packet? Just curious. My kids will drink it either way.

I enjoy the hot chocolate packets in the morning. I make it with a little hot water and coffee for a free cafe mocha.

Hot Chocolate is also on the room service menu. When we sailed with our teeangers, they would order cookies and hot chocolate every night as a night time snack. No charge.

On ships with a Café Latte-tudes, the for fee hot chocolate there is included with the Royal Replenish package.

It is not just from a packet mix with hot water there.

I drank so much Starbucks hot chocolate on my oasis TA sailing.

You're right. There are two types of hot chocolate. One from the packets (which is quite good IMHO), and the hot chocolate made by the staff. I believe that it starts as a powder but they put steamed milk and whipped cream in it. That makes it taste richer, and is included in the RR package.

It's a vile tasting watery, brown concoction that tastes of sweet, yet bitter chocolate (of sorts) IMHO
