Pre Cruise-hotel/ Port Canaveral ?

Can you recommend a pre-cruise hotel in Port Canaveral for our Cruise in July 2016? We don't need parking.

There are a couple very close to the port. The Raddison, a Laquinta, a Country Inn and Suites to name a few. You can get much info on the Florida departure board.

We stayed at the Doubletree Cocoa Beach. Only 10-15 minutes from the port and it is oceanfront. Good way to start the vacation with a view of the ocean from our balcony and a walk along the beach before heading to the port.

Last time we cruise from port Canaveral, we stayed in Orlando instead (much bigger selection at better prices). We stayed at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and spent $79 a night! Then we drove 45 minutes the next day to the port.

I totally second the Doubletree. We have it booked for our upcoming cruise in Jan. It's really a beautiful hotel plus it has a bar and restaurant on site which is nice and right on the ocean.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites Cocoa Beach. We did the Fly, Snooze, and Cruise package. It was very affordable, I think $195. Included transportation from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to port, and from the port back to the airport post cruise. The hotel was right by Cocoa Beach and walking distance from many restaurants and a view places to get wine or snacks for the trip. We loved the Sandbar Sports Grill which was a view blocks away and got to see the official Ron Jon Surf shop which was across the street. We plan on using them again if sailing out of Port Canaveral. It was only 10 minutes from the Cruise Terminal. If you'd like a direct link to the package message me and I'll be happy to send it. Good Luck :D

Doubletree is great location. Beach looks a lot like this.

I like the Residence Inn. Clean, modern, free breakfast and close to the ships.

That's where we are going to stay this November! Gets great reviews! We plan to go to the manatee park near there, although we've been warned most people don't see any manatees! :D

Wow! We live in Chicago, we don't see that in our lake!:D

We plan to go to the Manatee Park and then around the beaches and go eat at one of the restaurants at Port Canaveral on the Saturday before cruise the next day - we arrive the day before so we will have the full day Saturday to explore. We don't want to do the Space Center, just do local stuff.

That is actually the Banana River. I was there for a sunset pic. The Dolphin was a bonus. Go to Grills and try and get the Rock Shrimp. So tasty
