Flight out of Tampa do you think we will be OK

We have booked out flight home after the cruise:(

We have a 1:20PM flight, I have checked with my PVP and she says we will be fine but thought I would run it by here as well.

Unless there is a hurricane.....do you see any problems with us catching a 1:20PM flight.

Should not be a problem at all. Let's assume that you get off the ship really late...around 10:30 (highly unlikely under most circumstances)...the airport is less than 30 Min away.....you should have plenty of time. I live here, and I have cruised out of the port...I really think you are OK.

We had an 11:30am flight out of FLL. We were off the Valor and standing at the curb with our luggage at 8:30am. We were at the airport and checked in at 9:30am. Worked great. Have a great trip!

Keep in mind that the ship has to be able to navigate the channel back into port. If there is any kind of weather or fog, you can be delayed. Out of three cruises from Tampa we've only made it back on time once. I now plan a very late afternoon or early evening flight and make arrangements to do something for the day. The port will hold your luggage until 4 pm. There is shopping and a movie theater right at the port and the aquarium is right next door.

Thanks for the input....only problem is that is the only n/s flight out of Tampa...and since I am terrifired of flying I have to book a n/s....so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

We had a 1:45 flight out of Tampa after our Miracle cruise and got there with 3 hours to spare. If the ship docks on time, there should be no problem.

I have a 1 PM flight out, which is the last flight of the day from Tampa to Indy. I booked it not thinking about delays ... but I guess that is what trip insurance is for.

We booked 3:00pm to allow for a lot of time only to have Delta change it to 1:20pm. Since they are free airline tickets, I am not going to complain. I figure we are still ok unless the weather in October gets to be a problem!

Delta just notified us today that they have changed our flight to Cincinnati from 1:20pm to 12:05pm. I hope that's enough time?

Carnival's suggested earliest flight is noon so I wouldn't worry one bit about it.

After our Miracle cruise in November, we had 2:00 flights. We waited hours in the airport :rolleyes: ... you should have PLENTY of time! ;)

Related to this, is 10:40 way too close to call?

That is the only SW nonstop until 6pm.

One other point, we are in suites in RCCL, so I understand that we get priority thru customs.

Also, if it matters for weather issues, we are crusing in February.

What do the experts out here think?

Scheduled docking for the ship is 7a.
