Shmoo here Posted July 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2014 does anyone know of any Christmas/New years cruises. I can sail out of the west or east coast. Just want to be gone for the holidays. thanks in advance I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that, if you go to the various cruise line websites you can do a search for cruises in Dec and see what they've got. I'm pretty sure all major cruise lines have Christmas/New Years cruises.,
Nitemare Posted July 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2014 1) Ask a friend who cruises who they use as a travel agent 2) Contact that travel agent 3) Profit!
Cruisin' Chick Posted July 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2014 As noted above, just about every ship (if not every one) will be sailing during that time. A cruise specialist will help you pick the right cruise if you're not sure where to start to narrow the possible cruises down. Not all cruises will be over both the holidays, but there are some that will be. We've done three cruises that included both as they were two-week cruises, all three on Princess and all three round trip LA to Hawaii. One thing to be aware of is that holiday time cruises will cost more than ones in early December or mid-January. Not just that they are holiday cruises, but because that's one time that kids are out of school.
Rare Essiesmom Posted July 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Airfare will likely be more expensive then, too. Go to http://www.cruisetimetables.com, choose a departure port from the first list, and then your dates. It will tell you if anyone is sailing from there, and their itinerary. JimAOk1945 Posted July 26, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 26, 2014 We enjoy cruising during Christmas week (Christmas cruises in green links below). We also have another Christmas cruise in December. While prices are higher, the experience is worthwhile. Smooth sailing wherever you go.
