Hellooooo to all on the Azamara Message Board! We just returned yesterday from a simply marvelous cruise aboard the Journey for the "Seven Night Corsica and Provence" sailing from October 11 to October 18.

In the spirit of din929 and previously librarylady19 I would love to share all of our wonderful experiences during that magical week as we sailed from Monte Carlo to Barcelona. My bags are unpacked.. laundry is clean.. food shopping is done and it's time to begin. We were up at 3am and at near 5pm I'm ready to go to bed for the night. I am truly trying my best to stay up and get back on New York time.

Just a little about us.. this was our 4th Azamara cruise in 4 years. We have been on the Quest twice and now on the Journey twice. We have loved each and every week that we have been guests of Azamara, and this cruise was no exception.:)

We started off on Friday October 10, 2014 at JFK airport for our nonstop (yay!!) Delta flight to Nice.

I'm looking forward to your posts about what sounds like a wonderful cruise. I can't tell you how to post your pics, except that there is a way that others have described in the past. I have never tried to do it, but maybe someone will offer help soon...weekends are usually pretty quiet on CC. Can't wait for the next installment!

Hello again!

Can anyone tell me why the pics are being posted as thumbnails instead of full size pics and how I can fix that? Thanks so much in advance!

Hi Sleep7,

The best way to do this, is to copy and paste the photo from your PC. If you continue to have issues, let me know if you want me to post your photos full-size, and I will be happy to take care of it for you.

I'm so glad you had such a nice time and I can't wait to read about it. Re the photo size, you can look on the forum page that is all about photos. There are several posts there on how to get big photos. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=118 /There's a test forum as well to try out your photos to see if they're the right size. http://http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=225

Thanks TravelbugM, Pickypicky and Midwestchick for your words of encouragment!

I am totally looking forward to sharing our cruise too.:)

I will try to figure out photobucket tomorrow if somebody else doesn't come along with an easier solution. I'm uploading them directly from my computer so I'm a bit confused as to why they aren't posting in that lovely large size that is so much easier to enjoy.

Good night for now.. :o

Oh Yay!!! Thanks Andy and Deirdre!! I actually just used the Shutterfly trick of right clicking copy on the image and then pasting it onto my post! Voila! It appeared full size! Great trick for the technically stunted!:)

Here we go..

All smiles at the Delta Sky Club at JFK.

Glad to be of assistance. I use copy and paste all the time. For the most part - it works well :)

Looking forward to your review. Welcome home !

We circled the airport at Nice as there were thunderstorms in the area. The rain had just stopped by the time we landed.

One last question Deirdre.. as you were my inspiration to post a "complete" report with lots of pics.. how did you post more than one pic per post or it wasn't possible?

Here is the lifeboat drill (very comfy in the MDR) and our itinerary for the week.ry%3D400

This is how you do it. When you paste your first photo in the reply box, go to the extreme bottom right hand side of the photo just outside the photo boundaries and click return. Sort of like when you end a sentence and you have to be on the right hand side of the punctuation mark; you have to be on the right hand side of the photo edge. That begins a new line for you to enter the next photo. Sometimes I had photos that filled the entire reply box so I couldn't find the outside edge and that's when I did only one photo per post but most of the times I didn't have that problem. Does this make sense? I don't know any computer savvy terms, sorry!

BTW, my husband has come back from many a transatlantic flight and has managed to be at work at 7:30 am the next morning. For the life of me I don't know how he does it.

My bed is now calling.. the 6 hour time difference is catching up to me again.

I will leave tonight with the wonderful and just as promised 6pm Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle in the Drawing Room on deck 10. It was hosted by Captain Tysse and Eric, with Heike and a few other sweet and smiling staff. It was the beginning of the beginning of an amazing journey. I shall be back tomorrow AM with more pictures and words. Thanks so much everyone for sharing the smiles!

Andy and Deirdre....I did not know you could post pictures directly from your computer without uploading them to a photo site. I'll have to try that.

What is the maximum number of pictures that can be posted to one post either from the computer or photo sharing site.

Sleep7,

Enjoying the pics and review. You put me to shame...I will have to get working on my report....soon...very soon....as we always say, "we'll do it on Monday"....LOL

I do wish now I'd taken pictures of the M&M parties.

Looking forward to reading more of this thread, it's rekindling lovely memories, thanks

Terrific photo info Deirdre, and thanks and hello to Robin, MWC (who knew you could copy and paste an image!:)) and UKtog.

Hubs just left for work.. daughter just left for school and now.. it's post time!

From the Meet and Mingle we went directly to the Discoveries Restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful dinner with an especially delicious and beautiful Pavlova dessert. A shout out of thanks to our middle daughter who is the food instagram expert and has schooled me in the best ways to photograph food.:)

The Journey was not scheduled to depart Monto Carlo until 11:30pm that evening so that gave us an opportunity, after dinner, to walk over from the ship to the Casino area. It was truly a magical fairy land all lit up at night. Sam was enthralled by the largest concentration of exotic cars he had ever seen in one location. I was disappointed that Cartier was closed.. I was on the quest for a small Cartier bauble.. more on that later..:)
