TheGaDawgFan Posted December 1, 2015 #76 Share Posted December 1, 2015 Glad you enjoyed the day and posted. With your permission, I would love to copy this to add to my groups page so they know I did good picking the place.Renee No problem! Hopefully I can figure out pictures here. With a group, the cabana is a no brainer. We would have spent $40 on chairs, plus the cost of umbrellas, and my son would have shared my chair when we ate. Instead we had a table with chairs and loungers.

TheGaDawgFan Posted December 2, 2015 #78 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Let's see if I can figure this out... The beautiful water early in the morning
TheGaDawgFan Posted December 2, 2015 #79 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Our initial cabana... these are the ones to the right when you walk in. All 4 chairs (2 sets of 2) and the table behind them are yours. But the beach is far away and would have been blocked with umbrellas as people arrived. [/img] Here I'm sitting at the table. The 4 chairs in front of me are ours and the area is roped off. There is one row in front of our chairs, so it was a much better view. I should have taken food and menu pictures, but we were enjoying ourselves so much that I didn't think about it.
mmobley2015 Posted December 2, 2015 #80 Share Posted December 2, 2015 We also rented a cabana last week and it was the best move we made. The ship arrived late and the beach was very crowded so it was nice to have our own space. There were a few rows of chairs in front of us and we still felt a nice breeze. We were in the water a lot as our teens were paddle boarding and snorkeling, but then having the shaded area for lunch was welcoming. I found the food prices reasonable as a pizza easily fed my teens. The water was beautiful with lots of fish to see while snorkeling. If we returned I would get definitely rent one again. I am having a very difficult time finding a email address to send a request to book a cabana for our Feb. trip. Several I have tried do not work. Do you know of one I could try? I would like to book it before we go if at all possible. Thanks! You can email me at joanndonlon@yahoo.com if you would like.

Here you go and I attached the cabana schematic I requested to choose the cabana I wanted. Pool cabanas can only be reserved by emailing Royal Palms direct. All others are online only and with the schematic you can specify the one you want https://royalpalmscayman.com/cruise-ship-visitors
tamtot Posted January 18, 2016 #83 Share Posted January 18, 2016 Back from Royal Palms, and we had a great day! The water is beautiful. There were multiple ships in port, so we were glad we got the cabana. The beach got VERY crowded later in the day, and it was nice to have our own space. We had good service all day. We chose one of the cabanas closer to the beach, to the right when you walk in. The others to the left were nicer structures, but you couldn't see the water, and we have a 6 year old. We requested a move, and it was granted with no problem. Our cabana had 1 row of chairs in front of us, which wasn't bad. Buckets of beer are the most reasonable adult drink option. The pizza is really good. 2 of them fed 5 of us. I'll see if I can figure out how to post some pictures. May I ask which cabana number you were moved to? Trying to figure out which one to request, and I really like to be close to the water:-) Thank you!

Rare Deeliteful Posted January 20, 2016 #86 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Another thumbs up for Royal Palms - we rented a cabana last year (2 adults and 2 teens) and we felt we got great value for the day. Will be booking again for this year even though only two adults this time.

Will be booking again for this year even though only two adults this time. Is it $100 a cabana? I know we booked one, and I called them to verify they received my reservation. They said they did receive it and gave me a confirmation number. But they also said that they would not send me an email, their system isn't set up for that. So, hoping my trip in Feb 2016 goes without a hitch...
landj999 Posted January 22, 2016 #88 Share Posted January 22, 2016 Will it be jam packed with 4 ships in port?
mmobley2015 Posted January 22, 2016 #89 Share Posted January 22, 2016 Yes, it is $100. We brought the confirmation number but it wasn't needed. They had our name on a list and just told us to choose a cabana. There were only two left, however we would have been happy with any of them. Definitely a great option especially if the boat is delayed as ours was. We enjoyed drinks, food and then they settle the bill before you leave. drvmywifecrzy Posted February 2, 2016 #90 Share Posted February 2, 2016 You can rent the poolside cabanas and order $50 in food so the cabana is free. You still need to reserve ahead. The entry fees are waived with any cabana rental How did you find out about getting $50 worth of food/drink with Pool Cabana? I dont see it on the website
Frequent Floater Posted February 2, 2016 #91 Share Posted February 2, 2016 How did you find out about getting $50 worth of food/drink with Pool Cabana? I dont see it on the website When I emailed the site direct, the sales person told me that as well as you have to reserve the pool cabanas through email unlike the others done online. I almost revered a couple of the pool cabanas just to have them available in additional to our Beach cabanas. I knew we would order than much in food and drink no problem. You can also get more info reading reviews on Trip Advisor
Beachiekeen Posted February 2, 2016 #92 Share Posted February 2, 2016 We filled out a request form on their website regarding the pool cabana and someone emailed us back stating that there was a $50 F&B minimum to reserve. Our email also states that the $2 entry fee applies. I believe that is only waived for beach cabana rental.

Frequent Floater Posted February 3, 2016 #94 Share Posted February 3, 2016 I called and they said Pool cabanas do not get any food/drink included. You pay separate in addition to the $50. My request were asked and answered last Sept. So things may have changed as this place has become more and more popular. I know my reservations all say there is NO entry fee to those that book a cabana but think that has changed as well. If it were me, I would check again using the email to ask. laurierocs Posted February 11, 2016 #95 Share Posted February 11, 2016 So, which beach cabana would be considered ideal? I can't tell by the schematic if 1,2 & 3 would be better than the ones set back a little. Thanks! Laurie
Frequent Floater Posted February 11, 2016 #96 Share Posted February 11, 2016 So, which beach cabana would be considered ideal? I can't tell by the schematic if 1,2 & 3 would be better than the ones set back a little. Thanks! Laurie It really depend on if you want to be right near the water or further away. The Ocean cabanas 1, 2 & 3 are more of a canopy cabana but closer to the water. The area around is not as large as Beach cabana area. The space between 3 & 2 if where the servers bring drinks and food past. The Beach cabanas 1-6 have more room in the roped off area, shade trees and are a bit nicer inside. Still a open frame type cabana though
laurierocs Posted February 12, 2016 #97 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Thanks frequent floater. I guess I need to decide which is more important or reserve one and let them put us in one.
Frequent Floater Posted February 12, 2016 #98 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Thanks frequent floater. I guess I need to decide which is more important or reserve one and let them put us in one. If the beach club has the DJ while you are visiting, Beach cabana 4 & 5 is closest to the patio and bar area so you hear the music better.
