joeyancho Posted March 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Not allowed by princess rules. But should be easy. Get ones with plastic caps and carry them on your person. Bon voyage.
Astro Flyer Posted March 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Princess states on our boarding pass (and luggage tags) that it's not allowed & it's your decision on following it. "Liquor, spirits or beers are not permitted. Please remember that luggage will be scanned and alcohol outside of our policy will be removed and discarded". Colo Cruiser Posted March 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Can you take a few mini liquor bottles for cabin? Throw them in your checked luggage, they may see them they may not.
LeeW Posted March 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Princess does sell small (375ml) liquor bottles both as a gift and through room service.
Lovetocruiseprincess Posted March 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2015 If you're going to take along the small mini size bottles in your pocket you might just as well pack a pint & be done with it.
suzieb25 Posted March 5, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2015 In my experience with both carry-on and checked luggage they have not been concerned with a couple of mini's.
Working 2 Cruise Posted March 5, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2015 On my last cruise, I had a bottle of water in my purse. It was thoroughly checked! Not worth the hassle.
Colo Cruiser Posted March 5, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2015 I agree just throw them in your pocket, they are all plastic.
elliair Posted March 5, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 5, 2015 Can you take a few mini liquor bottles for cabin? No, but people do it, just don't flaunt it.
Coveguy4 Posted March 5, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2015 I took a couple from a elite set up I didn't use on my prior cruise, my baggage was tagged with a note left inside, but they were left alone. I wish I could remember what the card said, but the 2 mini's were not confiscated.
Thrak Posted March 5, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 5, 2015 I agree just throw them in your pocket, they are all plastic. That depends on what they are. A majority of them have metal caps which would set off the metal detector. That would be embarrassing at best. There are some with plastic caps but many more with metal. scienceteacher Posted March 5, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 5, 2015 I don't think it is right to deliberately bring them in. It is against the rules. The rule doesn't't say it is alright as long as you do not get caught.

We take our one bottle of wine each and make no effort to hide it. On one of our last cruises I purchased a couple of (overpriced) 375ml bottles from Princess. On our last cruise I bought a 375ml bottle of Absolut for $20 or so but that was still cheaper than bringing on 7 50ml bottles (at least from WA state). Lovetocruiseprincess Posted March 6, 2015 #17 Share Posted March 6, 2015 That depends on what they are. A majority of them have metal caps which would set off the metal detector. That would be embarrassing at best. There are some with plastic caps but many more with metal. The detectors aren't set to that level of sensitivity to pick up on the metal bottle caps. We've been doing it for years now without any problems. If you still have concerns then switch to containers with plastic caps....like RumRummers. charliebartine Posted March 6, 2015 Author #18 Share Posted March 6, 2015 Thanks everyone for the information. Guess in the end, we will each take 1 bottle of wine. Might as well follow the rules! Anxious to sail!!!!
