Port of Los Angeles to LAX

Our flight from Lax ( if I book it) leaves at 11:18 am, I was looking at supershuttle which would pick me up a little after 9am . We (2) will be getting off the Island Princess. I was wondering how early I could disembark from the ship with no unexpexted delays. Itinerary says ship docks at 6:30 am . Next flight is at 5 pm

If wonder if you can rent a car at the cruise center and drop it off at the airport, that way I would take a later flight and spend the day checking out some of So Cal where I used to live

There are no rental car offices right at the port.

There are others in Long Beach on the other side of the bay.

What day are you arriving?

I ask as number of ships in port can be a factor.

That flight is too close for comfort.

What day of the week? 9am is rush hour.

Which itin? Some incur more CBP scrutiny than others.

Which airline? Since the terminal shuffle there are now some bottlenecks.

Best bet would be doing Self Assist and doing some sort of private, not shared, transportation.

Thanks for the answers, I've decided to walk down to enterprise and rent a car.

I agree. I would most definitely use a car service rather then wasting time picking up and dropping off a car.

We use Execucar.

Also OP I wish you provided what day you are arriving as we could see how many ships will be in port and give you a good estimate as to when you could be off the ship.

The OP can also use ontime1 at a lower cost than Execucar.:)

Yes, we will rent a car, drive around old haunts, work places, and restaurant's like Diana's La Bonita if it is still there on Sepulveda I believe, not too far from the port. and then drop the car off and catch our 5 pm flight. Outstanding Mex food at Dinah's, Chili Verde is the bomb
