changing day Posted February 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Hello, I am doing a Caribbean cruise Feb 28th on the Royal Princess. I can't seem to find any info on the availability of AA meetings. Does anyone know if this liner has regular meetings available?????
cheeseclan Posted February 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2017 WE have been on over 30 cruises with Princess and all of them have had them at least once maybe twice on every cruise.
1025cruise Posted February 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2017 There are Friends of Bill meetings daily. The time and location will be listed in the patter.
jennybenny Posted February 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2017 They have them every day. They are in the Patter. I see many Recent Patters have been posted lately, you will see them in there as "Friends of Bill W" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thrak Posted February 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Not only are there regular Friends of Bill meetings there are also Friends of Dorothy meetings as well. Princess tries to take care of everybody. Don't know how long you have been a Friend of Bill but congratulations on what you have done/are doing. :)
bigenna Posted February 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Friends of Bill meeting are every day, listed in the patter, but not necessarily at the same time every day, occasionally at varying locations. They fit them in where there is time and venue available.

pablo222 Posted February 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Not only are there regular Friends of Bill meetings there are also Friends of Dorothy I thought the 'friends of dorothy' name was out on princess, replaced by LGBTA get together. elycelynne Posted February 12, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 12, 2017 I thought the 'friends of dorothy' name was out on princess, replaced by LGBTA get together. It was -- At least on the Royal. On another note, the Patters listed somebody named "Dr. Bob" (or something like that) along with "Friends of Bill W". I know who Bill W was, but who is this doctor and what organization did he found? IECalCruiser Posted February 12, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Princess calls the meeting "Friends of Dr. Bob and Bill W." On cruises over the last few years the start time has varied between 4:00 and 6:00. As others have mentioned, there is usually also a daily "LGBT Get Together" around an hour later and that has been the name in the Patter for many years. arthistory Posted February 13, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Are there also Al-Anon meetings?
snowskier Posted February 13, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Are there also Al-Anon meetings? Not in the Patter. I have experienced Al-Anon folks coming to the first AA meeting and agreeing on a time / place to meet. If requested, Princess will put it in the Patter. bigenna Posted February 18, 2017 #14 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Dr. Bob was the cofounder of AA.
elycelynne Posted February 18, 2017 #15 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Dr. Bob was the cofounder of AA. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess Bill W got more publicity (at least for me).
