So excited to read a Dream review - we will be sailing her in January and are excited to experience this class of ship.

Please tell us all about the great ship and the upgrades

Thanks for taking the time out to do a review - it's really appreciated!

Tonight we were to meet up with some CC members for dinner at Rusty’s Seafood. http://www.rustysseafood.com/ TIP: sign up before you go and they send you a buy 1 get 1 Half Off entrée coupon. Food was good…service was pretty decent enjoyed meeting the group.
Rusty’s Seafood: 8/10
On our way to Rusty’s we were met with this wonderful view.

Also what was so interesting is the Cape Canaveral actually have peacocks! This is new and different from us because the only peacocks we see around these parts are in the Zoo. I just had to take a snap shot. You can tell they were urban peacocks. They actually crossed the street with the crosswalk signals!

So that wrapped our day in Cape Canaveral. After dinner we went to our home for the night, Residence Inn and crashed. Up next embarkment!

Well today I woke up with a big grin on my face for two reasons. #1 it was my hubby’s birthday and #2 it was CRUISE DAY! Since the Dream was coming out of dry dock we thought we could board early and go directly to our cabins. The plan was to eat breakfast at the hotel, which was AWESOME btw. The chef at the Residence Inn is the #1 Chef in ALL of Residence Inns. Boy can he cook. The price of breakfast was included in the room price. There was a FULL breakfast eggs, waffles, fruit, different types of coffees and cappuccinos, bagels, different meats, you name it they had it. What I like most of about the breakfast area is that there was plenty of room and not crowded. If you wanted to that had a beautiful patio that extended out toward to pool to eat.
Breakfast: 10/10
Our goal was to be on the ship at 11am. So we were going to drop off the luggage with hubby and I and mom was going to take the car rental back and shuttle over. Well..in our excitement we were too early. Can you say 10am is too early? So we “cruised” around Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach returned the car and go to the terminal at around 10:45am. Check-in went smooth. We were on board and in my room at 11:15am. We were in the cove balcony room 2349. I can’t say enough good things about this room.

Great start! We also stayed at the Residence Inn and loved it!

That had to be so cool to be able to see the Dream the night before you boarded and to get right to your cabin.

Can't wait for our Cove on the Breeze!

Unfortunately, the Cherry On Top store IS small. It's located on deck 5 by the Fun Shops in front of the Casino. I would say it's about 300 sqft. But it had a TON of goodies.

This is me trying to decide what to do that day. Notice the big grin!

We received our luggage around 1pm. When I say “we” I should I have stated Hubby and I. By muster time Mom has not received her luggage. Oh yeah I forgot to mention before the trip mom mentions she’s going to bring her steamer. I was like, “uh mom it’s prohibited! They’ll take your steamer.” Mom was like, “No, I took it last time!” I roll my eyes here because the last time she’s cruised was in 1994! Anyhoo, I digress here. I was like, “mom well things change and I don’t know if they take your steamer will you get it back.” She just rolled her eyes and dared them to take her steamer. I replied, “If they call you to the Naughty Room don’t bring me down with you. You’re on your own.”
Needless to say, Mom got called to the Naughty Room. At Muster Drill Mom walks up to me waving a letter stating she must report to the “Naughty Room”. My face just drops and she laughs. Mom was like, “they better not have taken her steamer!” After Muster Mom heads to the “Naughty Room” to pick up her luggage. Later on the day she reports that it was not the steamer they were after. Mom had locked her luggage and they were not able to go through her luggage to check for “whatever they check for” security wise. Mom’s steamer made onboard. After all that drama we ended up not using it though. LOL
Okay so after Muster Drill we got ready for the Steakhouse to celebrate my Hubby’s birthday. Since we went on the first night we got the free bottle of white wine. You can have white or red. Hubby and I both ordered the rib eye. We didn’t make it through. I left about 10 oz on my plate. I was stuffed. We barely had room for dessert so we had the sherbet to finish it off. After the Steakhouse we walked around. We didn’t quite make it to the Welcome Aboard Show. I believe we just went back to the room.

Steakhouse: 10/10 A must do at least once while on the cruise

Oh yeah towel animal from night #1...the infamous

Nassau-I woke up bright eyed and bushy tail for a day spent in Nassau. I was going back and forth with whether or not I was even going to get off the ship. Well the humidity did it for me. I checked the temperature for the day it was like in the high 80s with the humidity being in the high 80s. The weather I will see later on would be the theme for the cruise. My Mom looked where the Dream was parked on the pier and decided she didn’t want to walk in that heat. So we decided to stay on the ship. It paid off because Mom and I entered one of the Trivia games and won and “Ship On A Stick”! She got one and I got one!
My adventurous husband, on the other hand, decided to go and see what’s good. I sent him off with a shopping list and the camera. He came back with a conk shell, bracelets, and tons of pictures. Apparently Nassau was celebrating The Women’s Suffrage Movement during our stop. Nassau was uneventful but I will leave you with these beautiful pictures he took.
Our View from our Balcony(Monstrosity of The Seas aka Oasis of The Seas)

It seems i must stop here..Photobucket isn't showing the rest of my pictures to add to Nassau. I'll try again later. Sorry

I know right! I was just on the phone with her telling her i'm working on the review. She was like, 'why you got to put that in there?' I thought it was important because for those of us who are...let me say...not adhering to the prohibited list may want to leave their luggage unlocked. Well at least in Port Canaveral. We did bring the 3 bottles of Moscato on board. I packed them in one bookbag and 2 12pks of soda. We each went through security seperately and they didn't even blink an eye at the wine. I could have easily brought 2 more bottles of wine. Though my mom did bring a 12pk of small water and they shook those babies like a "polaroid picture". I guess they were looking for bubbles. I explained to mom through her actions may help another cruiser. hehehehehe

I literally laughed out loud (the kind where LOL does not do it justice) about the steamer. Great story!
