Just off the Breeze

We had a wonderful time on the Breeze. The my time dining was not slow, the food and service was excellent. The lines might have been long, but you only wait a few minutes. There were lots and lots of kids on board. It's Christmas! Were they out of control absolutely not. The ship was clean. The crew were working non stop. Give them some credit for keeping this Mega Ship in tip top shape. Would I go on this ship again. Yes I would

We have been on over 15 Cruises with Carnival. This is a super ship.

Thanks for the positive feedback too. I was wondering but I always use my own opinion. Some people are never happy. Can't wait to try it. People were complaining this week on breeze. It was the best ship we ever cruised on. Service was great, food was awesome and not problems at all.

Agree completely with you OP. We loved the Breeze and are so surprised at all the "negative" press. When you sail at school vacation time, there will be lots of kids and all ships will be crowded and filled to "full" capacity (3-4 per cabin). We loved the new decor, the crew, the food, the shows....the only problem on our cruise were the rude pax who en masse removed gratuities (as was their custom from their homelands apparently).....all of you cruising the Breeze will have a wonderful cruise on this beautiful new ship. (Many from our Med cruise in October have already rebooked the Breeze and have or are going on her again very soon....what does that tell you?)

We did the US inaugural sailing B2B of the Breeze..

Yes I agree there ahs been a lot of negatives said bout the ship and the ports of call.. but for us.. this was our best CCL cruise out of the 7 we have been on.. best wait staff, best room steward, best ports of call..

Butch was our CD and did an amazing job..

but everyone seems to have a different opinion so my suggestion to the next cruisers to come in the next few months.. take what you want from the boards and leave the rest.. a cruise is what you make it not what the CD does/who it is or other cruisers say it was.... The cruise is yours to make or break.. sit back, relax you are on a cruise vacation..

We are also just off the Breeze this a.m. Here is our opinion: Had a fantastic cruise, even with missing Grand Turk due to high winds, making docking dangerous. Had one of the best wait staffs ever in the Blush dining room - hi Jenn, Kaz and our drink waiter Vlada. Our food was served hot when it was supposed to be hot, and cold when it was supposed to be cold. We had a nice, relaxed dining experience each night. Ken the maitre'd was in great voice, as usual. Loved our cabins - 8244/8248, and would book this location again. Our steward was right on top of keeping our cabin spotless. Buffet area seemed congested - more so than any other ship we have been on, but survivable. I was shocked at how quiet our hallway was, considering all the kids and teens on board. Plenty of other food choices during the day. Tried them all- deli, wok, burrito bar, Guy's burger, pasta bar. Did not do any extra expense dining - not our style. Butch the CD was everywhere. He works his tail off. Really have not one bad thing to say about the ship! Oh yes - was very impressed with the towel guy and girl on Serenity, where we spent 90% of our time. They labeled loungers and clamshells with the time if they were empty, and removed the belongings (placing them in individual net bags) if the occupants didn't show up within 40 minutes. Really stopped the chair hogging cold. I don't know if they did they by the pools, but it was a pleasure to see they were enforcing this! Shows were good - liked the Divas the best. Spent a lot of time in the casino, which was kind to me! Played bingo (won $140 during a 7 game bingo session) We loved the color scheme - especially our cabin doors, made of wood. Would not hesitate to book this ship again!:)

Thanks for the review! I've been reading all the reviews as we sail February 10 (to celebrate my son's 21st!). I too take all the negative with a grain of salt... good to hear some positive though.

The one thing I am wondering. Have any of the sailings that were supposed to go to Grand Turk actually made it? Since I haven't heard of any other ships missing GT for weather is it because of the size of the Breeze? I sure hope Carnival will decide before we sail if that's the case and just add another port. Although an extra sea day might be kind of nice too. Who am I kidding... I'll be fine with anything just to be out of this cold, rainy Washington weather for a week!!

Relieved to see positive feedback about the Breeze. Saw a lot of negative comments & was starting to wonder if I should book it for my 50th b day in 2014. I think I will reconsider! Thanks for your review!

Glad both you and the OP had a wonderful time, and thanks for posting details. DW and I are looking forward to the Breeze in March and while every one of these reviews, both positive and negative, are useful information, hearing that you loved the specific things others have complained about (MDR food, Serenity seating, etc.) makes it sound like things that have been issues might be in the process of being corrected.

Since you did mention the congestion in the buffet, did this go on all through the mid-day or just at the height of the lunch hour? DW and I don't like long lines but we're pretty flexible about going an hour before or after everyone else when we know to do so. Just curious when you went.

just off the Breeze Christmas cruise only major complaint was missing Grand Turk ship is too big for this port sounds like they should try somewhere else instead food generally very good lots of choices for lunch punchliner brunch food is mostly great, especially steak and eggs entertainment shows were OK to good but nothing amazing {except for the LED screen in the back of the stage which was stunning} comedy juggler was very funny especially for the kids Hasbro mostly done for the kids, but was fun for all

service overall was very good to excellent crew was mostly very friendly

ship is new and kept very clean water park and sports square are fantastic play areas lots of kids but mostly well behaved my family had a great time with only a few hiccups

We had lunch around 12 each day. Within 15 minutes of that time the lines were crazy, and never seemed to subside.
