Any news on new ISP Cruise ship dock?

Hello All,

I had read last year that the new dock should be ready sometime this summer season for ISP cruise ships - no more tendering. Has anyone been there and seen it yet? Any pictures? Just very curious of the location and all. :)

Thanks!

we are on the Pearl tied up at new dock. Will post photos Sunday evening. Gorgeous sunny day so going ashore to explore. We've seen whales from balcony and now from Spinnaker Lounge.

Glacier Bay was spectacular yesterday. We saw more of it than on previous cruises because Pearl had extended hours there. It was sunny and cold.

Webcam says it is 49 degrees there

Have a great time ashore!

. No, just room for one ship to dock. Guy working there said they are going to have " 2 ship Tuesdays" with one ship coming in early am and leaving early afternoon and then second ship coming in for later afternoon/evening visit.

Had beautiful sunny warm day in Ketchikan today. No coat needed😄

Can two ships dock at once? THANKS!!:D

I may get flamed for saying this, but I'm glad to hear there will only be one ship there at a time. ISP is relatively unspoiled by commercialism . . . so far!

We really loved Icy Strait Point - beautiful setting and we were blessed with wonderful weather, whales and eagles. This is a port where you can spent very little money and still have a wonderful day if you enjoy nature.

Here are a few photos

This is from sign board and gives a good idea of the layout of the pier area

The dark shapes in the water in front of the people on the rocky beach that is next to the pathway are whales
