There are three embarkation ports where Carnival doesn't allow Cheers the first day. Galveston, New York, and Norfolk. It's a Carnival thing, since other cruise lines do offer a drink package from those ports. There are probably fees involved which Carnival doesn't want to pay. You still can drink but you have to pay for each drink. 😎

Have to agree. I don't ever remember being flagged at 15 unless I was on Cheers. For instance, without Cheers you can buy buckets of beer. They can't assume that you're drinking all 6 of them. 😎

They don't have to. After every ride and attraction you're dumped into a gift shop. They figure sooner or later they're going to get you! 😁

Those prices are definitely out of date, but I've noticed that pricing is not consistent from ship to ship. That's probably because of suppler pricing. 😎

After a couple of days most people figure them out, but those first couple of days are a horror show! 😎
