  1. We’ve done 2 Azamara cruises in the last 8 months on Pursuit & Journey, they were still very good. Azamazing evenings haven’t stopped, but some are now onboard. In November/December our Azamazing evening was onshore, but it could have been done onboard as we just queued to get on a bus, went to a tent behind a big hotel in Colombo, saw a show of local drumming & singing then went back on the bus. This February the evening was onboard in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and was brilliant, we had an amazing choir, a great acapella group and a group of local dancers. They put on two shows so everyone could see it in comfort and there was no queuing or bus trips.
  2. I’d try ringing again to speak to someone different.
  3. We got one on Pursuit in Feb/March, but not the one with the little zipped compartment inside the top.
  4. When we transferred our deposit to a new cruise following the cancellation by Azamara of our Black Sea cruise, we automatically got all the OBC from our original booking.
  5. That spreadsheet isn’t mine - it was put together by uktog then recently taken over by LoonBoarder
  6. I would assume the $250 OBC would be in addition to the existing OBC - that’s what I’d expect & be pushing for.
  7. I know speciality booking times on Azamara are offered at 6/6:30 and 8/8:30 however we have never had a problem with arriving earlier than our booking time. We like to eat somewhere between 7:15 and 7:45. We book the 8 or 8:30 time, then turn up at about 7:45. We’ve nearly always been seated immediately and no-one has ever told us we are too early!
  8. You don’t have to dine in the speciality restaurant, you can choose to use Discoveries MDR initially so you can share a table or two and maybe meet people who would join you in a speciality restaurant later in the cruise.
  9. I’m sure you’re right - seems as if you’d either love it or hate it. Looks fascinating to me, looking at real life not the manicured tourist slice of life that you see in many ports
  10. Oh wow, that’s new. Not heard of it before. Thanks for posting.
  11. There is no such thing as bidding on board. The upgrade bidding system happens beforehand, you are invited to bid a number of weeks before the cruise. Once onboard you can enquire if there are any vacancies in the type of cabin you’d like to be in and find out how much it would cost you to upgrade.
  12. Yes they are, look at the pinned topic Upgrade Bid Experiences.
