  1. I would have guessed Select also.
  2. I am allergic to seafood - so eating other items is not an option.
  3. It doesn't even taste like Choice quality on my visits. Our hole in the wall steakhouses where I live are so much better than Crown Grill. I don't even have to eat Prime back home to get a good steak (though we have plenty of Prime beef that I can buy directly from the people that raise cows.
  4. Actually - not upset at the cost at all. I live in Nebraska where I can get steaks from farmers I personally know. I know what good beef tastes like. And I don't have to pay a fortune for it either.
  5. Their beef does have a unique flavor to it (not in a good way). I can't place it but it does taste strange.
  6. I don't eat seafood so can't comment on that. I think the beef is mediocre at best. The sides are actually better (though not great). It is sad what they are charging for this restaurant and the mediocre quality of meet. I completely agree with you.
  7. I have had this happen also. It is frustrating. It will be given as OBC on the ship. I have called and they say "don't you want OBC, everyone wants OBC" and I am like "I used my credit card - I want a credit". Sometimes I have gotten it, other times I go to the casino and take the money out that way. Their accounting system needs help.
  8. I tendered once on a smaller ship (about 77,000 tons). It worked because I had a longer day there and really had no plans. I wasn't in a rush to get off. Where they dropped us off was right in the center. Those with cruise ship tours go first. If I remember correctly, when I exited it was low tide and there was a steep staircase to climb to get to land level.
  9. It is the shipyard that is delayed, not the cruise line.
  10. Though I may need additional coverage such as medical on the cruise. And cruise lines won't just "bank the cruise" if you need to cancel. Definitely different than using miles or points. Cruise lines have strict cancellation policies.
  11. I spent my entire time in Hoonah (which I enjoyed). We were told the ropes courses were closed due to lack of employees. I was there last May.
  12. Check with Viking directly. I usually don't book with Viking but after COVID, many cruise lines were insuring vouchers and coverage is for the cost of the voucher. You may want to call @iamtrustworthy also. Things changed after COVID and he mentioned he has some policies (assuming you are in US).
  13. It is listed in Canadian dollar though? Cheaper when translated to US dollars. LOL!
  14. I also was given a card when the bell captain took my luggage up to my room. He indicated if I wanted the luggage taken to the ship, they suggested $2.50 or some amount per bag (I don't remember) as a tip and to call by a certain time. I tipped accordingly. Great service. It would be the same amount one would tip for luggage service from a bell captain anyway. I thought I took a picture of the card but can't find it.
  15. Thanks for the update. We only had one ship but there was never a wait. I was one of the first off and last person back but we had a long day there (I did 2 shore excursions, morning and afternoon).
