So, I'm getting a message that I should keep away from an obstructed view guarantee, but if I can pick out the room, I should be fine.

Am looking to book Regal Princess. Is an obstructed view balcony something with no view or is it partially blocked?

Unless you want to go to the beach. The beach is nicer in Cannes than in Nice. The beach in Nice is very rocky.

Last year we had a stop in Cannes and went to Nice, the flower market, and then the little train around Nice.

It is a hike. Wife was there last week. A cab is an option.

Original drivers license works. I carry a copy of the passport but the original stays locked in the cabin safe.

Ready for this. Beach was free and we walked from the ship.

It is not a good idea to walk from the ship. Taxi is the best choice. We've been there several times. The best was when we had the first entry time as we were in before it was crowded.

I have never had to pre book. Don't even know if that is a possibility. Also, you should be able to arrive close to your assigned boarding time.

Recommend visiting the Alcazaba in Malaga.

I have stayed at the Hilton, Avenida Palace and Hotel Jazz. All were a good location and good choices.

I would not bet my vacation on picking up a tour on the dock. There are places where this is possible (like Gibraltar) but I agree with most of the other posters that you should have your plans made in advance.

Rouen is nice, but I would recommend Honfleur.

Four of us hired a car/driver, but we were coming from Brussels, pre cruise. However, it looks like Ihsail's recommendation is excellent.

We were there last summer. It is straight forward to do the town on your own. Remember to take a canal boat ride.

I have cruised out of Baltimore multiple times. I always park at the port. It is simple and close by.

We were on the Epic in Aug and it was not as bad as described here. I do concur that it was over crowded, lines were long. We ate in Manhattan a couple of times. We generally arrived early and did not have to wait for a table. However, the reason people had to wait later might be that we never had a complete meal in less than 2.5 hours. That was too long so we switched eating locations. That said, it wasn't so bad that we would never go again (until reading a lot of recent reviews).
